Revoltingest, and other know-nothing engineers, should take a moment to seriously consider the HAVOK they wreak upon humankind. I just wanted to use this forum as a...um...well..."forum"...so as to point this out. Here's where engineering gets you:

I've been a fan for years. Some relations (my father, for instance) stopped being fans as soon as they found out these guys are liberal and more apt to criticize conservatives. Still, to my brother and father's credit, they still have found some of these clips funny, and it was my father who first sent me "the front fell off" (how sad is it that my father, born long before personal computers, is more internet savvy than I? In my defense, the guy was actually using punch cards to program computers before monitors existed). And yes, for some of their work you have to be a little aware of Australian politics (which I am not), but they are pretty good. These guys are hilarious!

AmenSo far as I know, the assumption that the sides are equally inane is usually unwarranted. But I think it does change over time which side has the most lunatics.
When I was growing up 40 or so years ago, it seemed easier to find instances of Left Wing lunacy than to find instances of Right Wing lunacy. I suspect that any fair minded observer today would find that situation has reversed.
Based on political correctness alone (much less the in-your-face media control by the left), that's hardly the case--except for non-religious issues. The swing from McCarthyism to The Great Society occurred with such neck-breaking speed, necessitated by the installation of an immensely more corrupt level of government under the fear driven LBJ coup, made the media's being asleep at the wheel easy (nay necessary) to ignore. Can you give an example of such current Right Wing (non-religious) "lunacy"? The mind boggles with all the examples to the contrary.
This isn't supposed to be a political thread. I just wanted everybody to know that Revoltingest is wrong. That's all. And I feel confident I've proved it.Based on political correctness alone (much less the in-your-face media control by the left), that's hardly the case--except for non-religious issues. I'd like to say that I agree with the above, as youtube does. Thus endeth the lesson. This isn't supposed to be a political thread. I just wanted everybody to know that Revoltingest is wrong. That's all. And I feel confident I've proved it.
I hate it when the front falls off.....except when I was a couturier.I've been a fan for years. Plus, they have definitely shown that engineers (who actually build crap and do practical stuff) have nothing on us more theory-oriented scientists, who often rely upon making the crap up rather than an ability to demonstrate anything of utility.
I'm not wrong. This isn't supposed to be a political thread. I just wanted everybody to know that Revoltingest is wrong. That's all. And I feel confident I've proved it.
The pendulum is actually stationary....with a little dithering giving the illusion of change. So far as I know, the assumption that the sides are equally inane is usually unwarranted. I'm left-handed tooII'm just not right.
LOL! Looks like you've got your mind firmly fixed.

Only the perspective of the watcher changes.
We've an ample & eternal supply of lunacy on all fronts.
I'm left-handed too
My engineering prowess and knowledge is the stuff of legend and song throughout the quadrant. I demand you remove this libelous thread.
I would, but I don't understand "libelous", "quadrant", or "knowledge." Please dumb it down a little so that I can ridicule your knowledge which I lack.My engineering prowess and knowledge is the stuff of legend and song throughout the quadrant. I demand you remove this libelous thread.
