The World as we know it ends in 50 years. Complete and total annihilation.

Or so some say.

If that's true, what do we/you do?
Give up? Go with the flow? Create Chaos?

Accepting the hypothetical, despite it being unrealistic in my view:

I would definitely be against creating chaos. Why waste the last 50 years by accelerating the misery?

I would not suggest giving up. The hypothetical does not specify the mechanism or cause of the total annihilation in 50 years, so cannot make recommendations on what might be positive alternatives to giving up.

Going with the flow seems to be the same as giving up, in my mind. I don't see the distinction.

I have it pegged the present world ends when you die.

I don't think there as any such thing as total annihilation as well because nothing actually goes anywhere even if pummeled to proverbial dust.

For me, I just put the kettle on and live life as best as I can until the world ends when I end.

IF? What's the IF? Why consider an IF of such a concept with zero evidence?

Give up? Best to just give up listening to any such rhetoric.
The flow is to live life and do what is right at every moment
Creating chaos is uncivilized.

Ignore the nut cases and live as civilized human beings.

We'd better get working on that Mars base, and or space Arks or "Arcologies".
Might need to reduce all national military budgets to 0 among other budgets, to accelerate a coordinated colonization relocation and evacuation program. To resource such a project.
Tough sell.

Hasn't the Judeo-Christian world always being going to end in the near future?

Didn't Jesus promise that the Kingdom would be established within the lifetime of some of his audience?

And >here's< Wikipedia's informative list of dud predictions of the apocalypse ─ notice Kent Hovind's tip is that the Rapture will most likely happen in 2028.

Reminds me of the old joke: the professor taps the blackboard and says, "As you can see, then, the world will end in thirty million years."

A student leaps to his feet and screams "WHAT? WHAT?"

The professor taps the blackboard again and says, "Thirty million years."

"Oh thank heavens, thank heavens," says the student, "I thought you said thirteen million."

Thanks for that link. I found it quite entertaining. :)
