Does the Political Right support Facism?

Question: If the Repubs are on the right, & the Dems are center-right, then who is on the left?
And why do the keep voting for the 2 major parties?

In America, no one. That is why I hate America.

And the reason some lefties vote Democrat is because they're afraid that if they don't, a Republican (which is FAR worse) will get elected.

Perhaps the Democrats really aren't right-of-center. To me, it looks like the Dems & Repubs both straddle the middle, constantly maneuvering for that magical 51% of the vote.
The Dems own the left side, while the Repubs own the right. If one side drifted too far, then the other side would move in that same direction too, & gain a big majority.
They're both too shrewd to let that happen permanently, so the average center of each party will tend towards the middle ground. That would explain why they're so similar
in policies...& why so many are unhappy with whichever party they choose. Their main agenda is always a strategy of winning elections.

That's the only reason I vote Democrat and affirm it is because they're more left then the Republicans. Really I'd like a Socialist Party better, if it had any chance in our present government.

You realize that your refusal to vote for them is why they have no chance, right?

Nah.. no law should ever be put in place the restricts personal liberty unless the action directly prohibits another person's personal liberty (i.e. murder, rape, what have you).....

That's the libertarian view.

.....laws should be in place in regards to how business can be conducted to same extent, and that business should be taxed to pay for social programs (I would mostly settle for anti-corporation laws and anti-trust laws).

Why be anti-corporation? It's simply a form of ownership which allows easy capital formation & limits personal financial liability. You'd wipe out most large
scale commerce if incorporation became impractical. Bad behavior by business wouldn't be curbed by limiting ownership to sole proprietors or partnerships.
Are you favoring that only business pay for social programs, or that business pay for only social programs? The statement is unclear.

The formation of monopolies restricts the free market, until the point where it is no longer free.

I also want to avoid monopolies. Unfortunately, many of them are imposed by government, eg, education, 1st class mail. At least we got rid of the phone monopoly.

Even if I did vote Socialist, would one vote make any difference?

why vote at all if your not going to vote for people who represent you? why vote dem when they dont represent you? simply because their left of the reps? what has that accomplished? its an attitude like yours the reason why we are stuck with an unrepresentative 2 party system.

I can understand the argument to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. It also makes sense to vote for an ideal but unlikely-to-win candidate. I cannot say
which is better, but I've tried both approaches & settled on voting without major compromise. I feel better now that I vote almost entirely Libertarian.
I favor liberty, with all its chaotic, obscene, profiteering, & diverse results.
