I just signed up for "Times of Israel" email notification to see what I could learn from that source.

Oddly the picture of Jerusalem shows Al Aqsa Mosque in the center. Is there not a better picture of a typical Jerusalem from a Jewish perspective?

I would need an English source since I do not read Hebrew, and am trying to learn to read Navajo.

I assume you're talking about the Dome of the Rock (golden dome) and not alAqsa (silverish gray dome).

From a Jewish-religious perspective, that area remains the holiest site in the world, regardless what particular buildings are standing on it (and at one time there was a temple to Jupiter, if I recall correctly). So while it's not thrilling for us that a mosque is there, it doesn't detract from the theological importance of the area.

That is a common picture but if you prefer other reading material the only one i know of by name is the Jerusalem Post.
