Can you live without suffering

In my opinion, suffering is neccessary because it helps to give us a reference point to pleasure, and it helps balance our minds a bit.

What I get annoyed at though, is unneccesary and disproportional suffering which so many people have to go through with - that's the kind of suffering I'd agree to want to stomp out of existence.

Agree with you that otherwise the mind itself would not have *perceived* anything as *sufferings*.
However what is important that once the individual transcends that very mind that perceives then there is neither pain nor happiness which is eternal peace.
