Then what 'intelligent gibberish' are you disagreeing with?I believe that is Intelligent gibberish. However there may be a point there as to how Christianity can equate the serpent with Satan. Certainly the serpent acted contrary to the will of God and that makes her a satan.
Maybe because the Knowledge of Good and Evil doesn't produce in the eater the fruit of the Spirit being:-View attachment 17307
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”--The Book of Genesis (Original Sin), King James Bible.
If, a Desire for Knowledge is Good, Children are not a Curse, and God Blessing Her Favorite Creation with Conception and 'The Mother of All Living' Delivering All God’s Children--Is why God Created Humans in the First Place---Why do some Christians Believe Eve’s Desire for God’s Wisdom was a Sin?---Especially when Eve Proved to God, She could Read and Reason, it was not?
Thanks, for the Correction George.
The bible is made up out of mutilated popular mythological Pagan stories. The meaning was changed to fit a specific moral. In this case to give an answer how there can be suffering on Earth if God is good. If God is not to blame than the blame must rest with Man. But as children are born innocent, they had to find a deeper cause, something that affected all of Man.-View attachment 17307

The Garden of Eden was originally not paradise. The garden of Eden was a Palace garden in which Pagan Kings used to consult the Gods or one God in particular. These gardens later developed into courtyards, then in courts, then in temples. That is why old temples often have plant paintings on the walls.
The King used to be the High priest of the religion as well. He was supposed to have a direct contact with the Gods. Being successful in battle was considered proof of his elevated position with the Gods.
The story of Adam and Eve used to be in the middle and was altered and moved to the beginning to become a creation story. From then on it begot a life of its own. That is how religion develops over time.
What the writers wanted to convey is probably that Man striving for power in envy of God creates his own fall. That desires of women often play a part in that. It sounds silly that Mankind took a fall for eating an apple, but they sought an explanation for the fall of Man, which was already widely believed before Abrahamism came into being. The Greek were long telling of the prior Golden Age of Man. And the Apple already played a role in Greek stories as an instrument of division. Similar stories can be found in other cultures. Their value is inspirational, not historical. What is it meant to convey? Taking it all literal is really killing it. The Bible uses stories to convey morals, that is the prime purpose.
Jesus was a huge sinner then so was joseph and so was mary for that matter. Please dont use scientific logic in application to the bivle its so lame it renders the text as bull****.The sin was that God told them not to eat the fruit from the tree and they ate it anyway. Sin is breaking God's rules.
"The bible is made up out of mutilated popular mythological Pagan stories." Human genetics is made up of mutilated strands of dna. You are so southern baptist without jesus its pitiful. Your whole nonsense is like an artist displaying a commode being proclaimed as art when its gsrbage. Your mytbos of mhth is the earliest nonsense developed in christianity itself so your writing has already been articulated thousands of years ago in cbristianity why its right and everything else is wrong. Your art is **** b Not even original bad art just repeated is all.The bible is made up out of mutilated popular mythological Pagan stories. The meaning was changed to fit a specific moral. Really are you that lazy? Pitiful. Upu want me to" tell you the truth?" Only incredibly lazy people ask for the truth from someone else. And all you will have is an interpreted reality that is not home. Obviously you have zero clue to what i am saying and thats in the bible as well. It really is not that hard and the most difficult thing ypu can do but nature must take precidence or its just i outer pace reality we might as well be arguing star wars.as soon as i say nature the dim wit lazy default is science. Thats lazy at its worst. I dont say a single original thing here its been said for thousands of years and ypu ask me to explain it? How might i do that if its already spoken and ignored regardless? Heraclitus said the logos is common but everyone seems to have their own private understanding. Completely anti pythagorean cometely anti modern science and religion all at the same time. Not that hard what is dependent upon what? Get back to me when you stop warching tv the intellectual bs grow up and engage nature directly as opposed to your theories, specularion, ideas, aNd beliefs. Art is difficult everything else is simple minded audience. If David T is such an expert I hope he will take a few minutes of his valuable time to inform those of us who are less knowledgeable about the truth. Don't just say we are wrong but point out how we are wrong.

without the will of curiosity.....we seek only what we see and touchThe snake was Satan. How would "character" appear and tempt Eve to eat? Eve certainly proved herself curious but also proved that she was not willing to obey God's instructions/ Isn't that just like humans today? We do not even want to obey traffic laws, ever notice how many people speed and run red lights, so of course no one wants to obey God. We would rather listen to the voice of Satan than that of God, Just like Eve.
