Nope. I have seen through telescopes for myself. I have seen distant stars that can only be revealed using these amazing machines.

Just as I have seen incredibly tiny critters, using the "anti-telescope", more commonly called a microscope-- entire worlds are revealed in a fraction of a drop of water.
