Notice that Beto's defenders don't claim that Breitbart is wrong.
They only impugn the source, & of course you for citing it.
A problem is that leftish sources are reluctant to cover
news which tarnishes their own, so sometimes rightish
sources are the only cromulent ones.
I don't know about this claim...but neither do those who
try so harshly & quickly to discredit your claim.
Trump didn't have to compromise. He offered what swing and independents wanted from the start. Which is a change from what's going on in the democratic party (the constant pull to go even further left).
Bernie's ideas are tired and old.
So if he actually said it, & his defenders don't address that,Beto said it that's why.
Only because he's been putting them out there for many, many...many years. Are Trump's fresh? I mean, trickle down economics, immigration reform...
Man, when I was younger, if somebody disagreed with your politics they were just wrong or stupid. Now they're either a terrorist, racist, white supremacist, fascist, authoritarian, traitor, misogynist, man-hater, or whatever other distasteful smear people come up with nowadays...
Can somebody send me 15 years back to the past when things were more sane around here?
The difference is, McCarthy was eventually told off, and he was the one guy driving it. The entire media, left AND right, as well as our politicians are all driving this cancerous polarization in our time.I mean, things have always been like this. Mccarthyism?
The more things change...

Democrats would never allow anyone so practical to run.Andrew Yang represents new ideas to me. Ideas that could be supported with bipartisanship. We might actually get something done for the citizens of the U.S. instead of the constant mexican standoff between the house, senate, and PoTus we've witnessed over the past 20+ years?
I have a bad feeling it'll be sorted out with fists now rather than words. Things are deteriorating by the week these days.True! There's nothing here I can argue with. I do think there are problems with the various "isms," and they should be called out. But I do agree that divisive politics is an issue that is far reaching and very dangerous. It is a problem we're going to have to figure out.
But it is true...Bannon tells Italians all the things they love to hear.
BlushesYou mean things like "Sei bellisima!" when he sees you walking down the street?!?
So if he actually said it, & his defenders don't address that,
but instead object to the source, this would be deflection, eh.
Anyone going to point out that he didn't remotely say RW media were "terrorist groups"?
I wonder how many people who are whining about this managed to successfully comprehend that Trump didn't really think the moon was part of Mars. People suddenly seem to lose the ability to properly comprehend English with good faith when it paint the other side in a bad light though.
The beauty of partisan bias and its ability to override even basic cognitive functioning
“The seeds of terror we saw that August day are transmitted day and night on Fox News, the most watched cable news channel in the country,” Mr. O’Rourke claimed. “They are amplified by right-wing websites like Breitbart, and in messages forced onto local news broadcasts by Sinclair Media. They metastasize on Facebook. And they filter up from grotesque online havens for white supremacists who preach intolerance and worship violence.
“Every media outlet that covers Trump’s rallies uncritically is serving dangerous ends. This language of fear and intimidation is not, as some would have it, simply political theater; it actually changes our behavior,” the former congressman continued. “Right before a terrorist came to our community to kill 22 innocent people, police believe he wrote a manifesto that used the President’s language of ‘invasion.’ The President used the word ‘invasion’ to describe immigration in over 2,000 ads on Facebook.”
That is what the OP's source posted. Ignore the clickbait headline.
