I don't think so. As a Canadian, I am still a supporter of the monarchy, and our place within the Commonwealth.

You are, I hope you remember, still a democracy. The Queen does not wield political power, but she has 68 years of literally knowing all of the leaders of the world -- a knowledge base which gives her ability to "advise and warn" an enormous value.

I've visited every part of Britain, and if I could, I would love to live out my final years there. Tragically, it's not something that can afford.
