Barack Hussein Obama is the Final Antichrist

He's not as smart as HE thinks he is though - and that's my point.

He's a puppet.

I wonder what you mean exactly. To the extent that I understand your statement, it seems to imply a Messiah Complex to Obama, to then call him naive for having it.

It is possible, of course. But what evidence do we have in that direction? It seems to me that it is all in the eyes of the beholder, really; the POTUS is apparently supposed to think of himself as all-might so that we can find him naive and call him a puppet.

Of course, by that measure it is inherently impossible for a POTUS to not be a puppet (of whom?) And there is this little matter of the likes of Reagan, Nixon and GWB actually claiming to be the tools of the Lord or somesuch, while Clinton and Obama refuse to do so.

So no, I fear I don't see your point.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I don't claim to know "who" all is manipulating the events in our goverment and world right now - but I think it's obvious that a lot more is going on than what we see on television or are privy to as private citizens. There are so many fundamental changes happening so quickly that I think only a fool would be complacent about the direction things are going, regardless of their political affiliation or beliefs.

As a Christian, I do believe that God is ultimately in control and that His plan for humanity will run it's course. I believe He uses both good and evil people in His plan. I also believe that as a Christian it is my duty, regardless of who is in power, to respond to any leadership within my Christian value system.

As for any leaders' statement that they are "tools of the Lord," I think there's a big difference between recognizing that they are in whatever their station of life is because God allows it - and invoking God's name in order to push their own agenda.

Without reading those Presidents' statements in context, it's impossible for me to determine what they meant.

I do know that Hitler, who was most decidedly NOT a Christian, also used God's name to manipulate his constituents during his rise to power.

It seems fairly obvious to me that it is our collective ignorance and lack of wisdom that "pushes the strings", to the extent that the strings even exist to begin with.

You Americans have a lot to feel proud about in this regard, for you did much to counter that regrettable situation; the protests against the Vietnam war come to mind.

Well, you may be about to see more protests from Americans.

You make a good point about collective ignorance by the way. It's appalling. As long as we have 200 stations, the internet, a bag of chips, and some cold beer, we won't raise hell. We're easily placated by small creature comforts.

I say "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

Hitler's religious hero was Martin Luther, a strong antisemite, to say Hitler was NOT Christian is quite misleading.

Hitler used references to Christianity to control and placate German Christians. He admired Luther's anti-Semite views but to say that Hitler was a Christian is quite misleading.

Maybe it is. But it is also quite hard to disprove.

Yep, there are fewer Christians than may label themselves as such - I'll agree with you there.

That being said, I notice that you've labeled yourself an apathetic agnostic - I guess that means someone who doesn't know and doesn't care. One good thing about calling yourself that is that you've at least set your own standard low, as well as the expectations of you from others.

That's one way to avoid being a hypocrite, I guess, but it seems counterproductive.

Apatheism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

fyi since you dont seem to actually know what your talking about.

however, the sentiment is certainly mutually shared.

ap⋅a⋅thet⋅ic    [ap-uh-thet-ik] –adjective 1.having or showing little or no emotion: apathetic behavior. 2.not interested or concerned; indifferent or unresponsive: an apathetic audience.
ag⋅nos⋅tic    [ag-nos-tik] –noun 1.a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.2.a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.
–adjective 3.of or pertaining to agnostics or agnosticism.4.asserting the uncertainty of all claims to knowledge.

Like I said - "Don't know and don't care."

Of course, I was being flippant but there's some truth in what I said.

YouTube - Prophecy: No Fear No Respect - 5 July 2009

Message from Jesus Christ. from the link above, as posted by Christena (the lady from the opening post).

"You wonder why the world is in this mess, even your own country? It is because man has no fear and no respect for Me, their Creator, the God of heaven and earth. They fear man. They will regret it. Many do not believe that I exist. They have no fear or respect for Me and My Holy Name because they do not know Me or My power. Many only use My Holy Name as a curse word. Soon they will call on My Name in their distress and I will not hear, when I called they did not pay attention.

Many don't know that I am in control and that I reign over all the kingdoms of man. My Kingdom is the only Kingdom that will last forever and will not be shaken or destroyed. I will shake and destroy man made kingdoms and their rulers. They do not fear or respect Me, they will perish.

I am the King of kings and the Lord of lords, God Almighty to be feared and respected. I am, I was and I am coming. I am the Righteous Judge, I will judge in righteousness and truth, no one will escape. I am the only One who is able to kill the body and the soul and throw in hell. Man can only kill the body. Why do you fear man? It is a snare from satan so that you will lose your fear for Me and concentrate on man who is but nothing.

Man will fear and tremble when they see My wrath being poured out on this earth like never before. For many it will be too late. When it was time to be serious, to fear and respect Me, they mocked and scoffed and took no heed to My Warnings. They will pay the price for their rebelliousness and stubbornness. Man makes his own choices, many made the wrong choices against Me.

It is time for man to fear and respect Me or bear the consequences of their deeds. I force no one. It will be a terrible day to fall in the Hands of a Living God. I am a God of love but alsos a consuming fire. Too many will find out too late. Judgement is imminent. I will show no mercy if ther is no repentance. Now is the time for mercy, that day will be Judgement, not mercy. I am the Righteous Judge. Repent before it will be too late. No fear, no respect, no mercy."

since your not interested in simply clicking the link, and reading it for yourself, ill copy and past the relevant parts here for you.

Apatheism (a portmanteau of apathy and theism/atheism), also known as pragmatic or critically as practical atheism, is acting with apathy, disregard, or lack of interest towards belief, or lack of belief in a deity. Apatheism describes the manner of acting towards a belief or lack of a belief in a deity; so applies to both theism and atheism. An apatheist is also someone who is not interested in accepting or denying any claims that gods exist or do not exist. In other words, an apatheist is someone who considers the question of the existence of gods as neither meaningful nor relevant to his or her life.
Apathetic agnosticism (also called pragmatic agnosticism) is the view that thousands of years of debate has neither proven, nor dis-proven, the existence of one or more deities (gods). This view concludes that even if one or more deities exist, they do not appear to be concerned about the fate of humans. Therefore, their existence has little impact on personal human affairs and should be of little theological interest.

i understand, and dont blame you for your need to have others to do even simple intellectual grunt work for you. you've been handicapped, willfully.

I didn't go to the link because I already knew what the definition was.

I just think the choice of adjectives is both ironic - and telling.

And come on - you gotta admit - "Apathetic Agnostic - don't know, and don't care" is pretty funny. Along the lines of, "Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic who laid in bed all night long wondering if there really is a dog?"

Lighten up! You certainly feel a freedom to criticize and categorize people who call themselves Christians, and it didn't even bother me when you did so. Lord knows, Christianity has it's share of hypocrites, like any other group. Surely you can take a little ribbing at your own description of your beliefs?

Nope, didn't you know about his beliefs:

it'd be funny........if it were funny. but as it isnt, its not. "Did you hear about the dyslexic christian who spent their entire lives praying to dog?" as far as jokes go, a pretty lame one. a better joke would be "there are people who actually believe the bible to be true"

i criticize and categorize christians based on their actions, not from purposely giving a wrong definition of what christianity is.

Lord knows, Christianity has it's share of hypocrites,

well we can agree here.

Surely you can take a little ribbing at your own description of your beliefs?

coming from a person i had respect for, yes, i could take a little ribbing. coming from you........not so much

Ok so I feel I have to give some sort of response here, everyone knows Christians are pitchfork pointing maniacs...... Who is to say that because its on Wiki or such like, this is what a person actually believes?? Why not give each person their chance to put their own views to you?

We are all allowed after all to have our own minds....or are we....

Actually, yes, I do - your belief system isn't as rare or unique as you seem to think it is. After a lifetime of reading, studying, and exploring different belief systems, I can assure you that I've run across both the definition of, and individuals claiming to be, Apathetic Agnostics.

Just goes to show that humor is subjective. Of course, we all tend to think the joke's not so funny when it's on us.

Oh come on, you're taking this WAYYYYY too seriously!

Gasp - but you don't even KNOW me! Sheeze, you're breaking my heart here!
