The film's producers have apologised for their sins after shooting a couple romping in the confessional corner of St Jozef's in Tilburg, Netherlands

A Dutch church has been declared 'unholy' after it was used as the set of a hardcore porn film .

The movie's producers have apologised for their sins after shooting a couple romping in the confessional corner of St Jozef's in Tilburg.

The church has been closed until Sunday, when a special cleansing service will be held and the building will be sprinkled with holy water.

Dutch porn star Kim Holland, who promoted the film, has agreed not to distribute the footage - but could still face legal action from the parish.

Holland said the flick's producer Peter Visser was an atheist who "saw the church as a very ordinary place" and "completely underestimated the reaction from commenters," reports Christian news website Church Militant .

Well i gues the atheist guy has zero respect for religions. I feel sorry for his parents. To have such son with sad behavior.

Well, that's not very respectful at all. Not to mention that porn inandof itself isn't the best.

But at least they weren't going out hurting anybody. While I hardly approve of the activity, it's pretty innocuous by the standards of what most people are doing.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
This could have avoided.

Step one: Revoke all tax-exempt status for all religions.

Step two: Religions are now private clubs, who hire their own private security.

Step three: The church building is private property, and it may make any rules it likes on who's allowed inside.

Step four: The church can prosecute for invasion of private property.

Boom. Problem solved.

I don't know about where you are; but here Churches are locked and the windows barred.

Excellent. :D

they should have got permission though. Not asking was wrong as its not "there's" to desecrate. I think the church will have to take it to court just to send a message that you can't use church property recreationally.

But if they got permission maybe it could have been more shameless than a hetrosexual couple engaged in vanilla sex. People should really put more effort in and think these things through.

I would assume that the crew was able to get in unfettered where they are.

I honestly have no idea how they operate where I am. I haven't tried to enter a church in 20 years.

What? Me worry?
If they needed to do this so badly, they could have built a fake set like any other movie would require rather than stoop this low. However I also believe you are using this as an excuse for atheist-bashing.

Atheist-bashing? Cool. I can hear the convo now: "Look here, you filthy, Godless atheist, you may not be going to Hell but you're certainly not going to Heaven..."

A few years ago near me, there was a case where a woman was prosecuted for shooting porn in several public libraries. My concerns here are the same: they should've gotten permission from the property owner and they shouldn't have done it in public.

This music video came under fire in Malaysia because some of it was filmed in/around a mosque!

Permission is the key thing here, they should have had permission to film. It would have been equally bad if it had been filmed in a library or hospital without permission.

I suppose the faithful could retaliate by making inspirational movies at atheist sites....
