Ancient Christians prayer - Prostration

Indeed. The Coptic Orthodox liturgy is very beautiful. It seems like the Copts prostrate more often than us Byzantines (though where I come from, there are pews in the churches, so prostration's very hard or impossible to do on a normal basis :p ). I've never been to a Coptic church, though I know a few very basic things about their rite--such as the use of cymbals and triangles during divine services, which we can see in the video. There's a world of diversity among the various Apostolic churches...

I've been to some Coptic Services.... it had pews....

But there was lots of bowing from the waist.
Hard to know if that was 'in place of' full ones or not.
