Not really as to me, given that the two pretty-much-death incidents I had, and detailed before, just didn't give time for such considerations.

One, whilst heading too fast for the front of a car whilst on a motorcycle - him on the wrong side of the road emerging from a tunnel - actually just relied on my fast reactions and instincts. Given that I could have gone another way and risked the death of one or more cyclists occupying where he should have been. What would prayers or God have done?

Another, when I almost slid off a 100m cliff as a young boy aged about 11 didn't give much time for praying either, and I doubt the larger clump of grass that saved me was suddenly put there by God.

Other than these two, I've never felt any urges to pray for something that just doesn't appear in my worldview even given the time to do so.

I'm a theist, but the times I was in extreme danger, I didn't think to pray.

Honestly, I didn't think. Fight or flight mode stepped in and I just moved. Weird sort of mindfulness... not a pleasant one.

People can be changeable, mutable - depending on the circumstances and what they might be personally experiencing.

I mean, if one was faced with a choice of "You either believe in our God, or we will burn you at the stake," then most people would likely choose to believe, rather than face the alternative.

Whether or not they really believe, deep down in their heart, only they know that. But they'll show a public appearance of belief just to avoid being burned at the stake.

Fortunately, nowadays, unbelievers can express themselves freely without worrying about being burned at the stake. That's progress, I think.

Me either. 2 heart attacks resulting in a double bypass and no appeal made to any god whatsoever over any of it.

Best part is I'm fine with it and am of good spirits as I know how to approach death now.

Based upon this, I have never been in "extreme" danger...

What exactly would be an "extreme" danger situation?
Sounds as though you seem to think that if there is no praying, then the danger was not "extreme"?
