Why do you try to discredit religions or religious people?

You just keep saying they are influenced yet you cannot prove it. You may as well be trying convince me that blue is actually green. Ive asked for one example in your laws that will show the influence and youve provided none. Even democracy is not the way of the GOD of the Israelites. Why do i keep saying the GOD of the Israelites? Because that is also the GOD the Christians are said to worship. So what law in your laws has any influence from christianity.

Marriage is an example of christian influenced laws. Unfortunately, marriage is only between male and female by our customs and the rest they call civil unions.

You know. I entered this just to give insight and my opinion about why atheists seem to discredit other religious and their text not to debate with you about the influence of christianity and christian laws in our country.

Hmmm... I think people get hung up on hypocrisy a lot, though. Even in Matthew 7:3-5, Jesus speaks on the matter. I think what's more important than avoiding hypocrisy, though, is to pull at the seams of one's ideas and to see what unravels; to see what truths really lie at the core.

Actively avoiding hypocrisy seems to me like it's rooted in preserving the ego; to hold and coddle it and make sure no harm comes to it. Truth isn't subject to the ego, though; it exists with or without the ego's approval. In protecting those core beliefs and never testing them, one constructs a full body cast for their mind rather than protecting it. We build a false sense of reality. And just like a full body cast, the mind atrophes and loses it's independence... As time goes by, the cast gets harder to break free from.

I feel that in testing our ideas, we better strengthen our minds. The worry of becoming a hypocrite or a fool be damned; break a few eggs, and risk sounding like a fool if I walk away just a little bit wiser. To me, lying seems the greater sin anyway, and what lie is worse than a lie that we tell ourselves? That's my personal philosophy, at least. :D

I guess the whole point in writing this is to say that I don't necessarily aim to call folks out; that's not my goal. My goal is simply to cultivate better understanding and to (hopefully) provoke deeper thought. :)

As far as i know, in most if not all religions it is said, Your faith will be tested, and actually non belivers is a part of that. they do test the religious people. and sometimes it is what is needed to awaken from a form of blindness toward anything else than what the scriptuee tell us.

Marriage is a Holy Sacrament ordained by the GOD of the Israelites. Most countries have it. But your country has sullied that, has twisted it, and turned it into something it was never supposed to be; an evidence of unholiness; of a nation that has never been influenced by Christianity, or Judaism... Your country has shown time and time again, that her laws, her ordanances, her operations, her values and desires, her lusts, are not Godly at all. The United states has never been Christian inspired.

Brother. What you must understand is that everyone in this forum is here to discuss religion. Even Atheists are here to discuss religion. If they dont care about religion, they wouldn't be here.

I know some people are just here to insult and enjoy the day, but sometimes the atheists can give people a reality check too. Its nice. :)

Green is actually blue with a bit of yellow. :)

If you are suggesting that American laws were never influenced by Christianity, can you provide evidence to that?

And there is no history classes that shares the knowledge of the true origin of america. Why America is the super power of the world, that America is the very land that Lot saw as a good and plentiful land, which that place is actually Sodom. So he left Abraham and journeyed to that land. That Am - Erica named after Lots wife, symbolised by the statue of liberty, that was given also by france. The connection which is spiritual between these two nations is not something you will read in any history book. For what they do in secrecy is not something any camera or video recorder can even catch, not to talk of historians.

That America, which has the "american dream", the doctrine of the nicolaitans which says to dream big, and the ciizen that gave a famous speech starting with " I have a dream" . Lucifer is a dreamer as well. A Nation that claims to support Israel, but is the catalyst in maintaining the war Israel has been facing for millenia upon Millenia. That very nation that has a building called "The white house", in an attempt to counterfiet the great white throne. America is an ungodly nation, and always has been from her inception. Her seat of power was given to her by the beast, both to her, and to her mother from which she was birthed.

Thus, America and Rome, represent the two arms: The Religio-political rulership of the world.

Yet blue is a different color; its not green or yellow. Ive yet to see evidence that it was, which the claimant made.

You are right. Someone makes the claim, he has the burden of proof.

But you see, you cannot prove it was not influenced either. Because these are things that can never be separated like they are poles apart. Its impossible. Everything influences each other. Green is just some yellow on blue.

To Jail people? I dont think they had the concept of modern day Jails so you can't expect the same nitty gritty. But Christianity denounces homosexuals. Nevertheless, my question is not that. My question is clear. Where do you think this law jailing homosexuals came from? What influence? Stalin was a militant atheist. So what do you think?

No Judaism does; the Laws were given to Israel. The Law jailing homosexuals is not Jewish, nor christian. That law came from stallin.

Well. I guess that settles it. I've lived here my whole life right next to our nations capitol.

It wouldn't be right I challenge the history of your country so I'd appreciate it if you'd not do likewise.
