Bernie for president

I am getting ads requesting a contribution for Bernie Sanders for president and I have contributed a little, but I tend to be not trusting. It could be a ploy of the Republican Party to take more money away for themselves. What do you think?

Also, do you think that he has a chance?

Warren seems to be a little too Socialist to win.

Is Bernie too?

I have more without the n.

Maybe Warren running is another ploy. Didn't it happen once before?

I suppose there's nothing good about being deranged, but I think I might thank God more often that I am mad.

And, I don't want to know why you aren't.

OK?

Yes, I think both Warren and Sanders are a bit too left to win, but if the economy is doing well the closer we get to 2020, I don't think it matters much who gets the Democratic nomination.

I think you might mean that the Rebulicans will be given the credit for that and be voted in again. Am I right?

Elizabeth Warren has not run before as a presidential candidate. She has been encouraged for years to become one. She also is the only candidate out there who addresses specifics in the party platform and her own agenda with demonstrations of where the money can come, and how to get the ball rolling in each field.

She certainly would be my pick if she can make it through the primaries. She is unfortunately more of a policy wonk and mathematician type, and not the schmoozing politician type. So she isn’t as charming as many simple-minded voters would like.

As for the Republican ploys, there are of course many. The leading one coming into this 2020 election is calling anyone left of Veneto Mussolini a “socialist”. None of the candidates are actually true socialists, but rather they are often promoting policies of a socialist democracy, which the United States already is, along with almost all western nations. Republicans don’t like that. :fearscream:

As for republicans schemes to trick American citizens out of their donations to Democrats. That is dera(n)ged, but it is unfortunately real. :(

Whatever reason a person wins the result is the same. They still win. For instance many of the people I know that voted for Donald Trump. Say they did so mainly because he wasn't Hillary.
My point too. Run someone dumb against Trump........trump wins. But, Sanders isn't dumb, imo.

I think the Dem nomination will come down to Bernie or Biden with Biden being the "safe bet". If the GOP controls the Senate or House Bernie will be checked in his legislative policy just as Trump is now. Ergo an EO POTUS. Biden can and has given ground in his career so at the very least can get moderates, centrists and even some on the right on board be it in voting or Congress.

Make donations directly at a campaign office. There is way to much going on with the internet and election these days to be careless about emails and FB stuff. Avoid GoFundMe.

Warren seems to be a little too Socialist to win.

Warren is damaged goods. A lot of her ideas seem really to be "shock" factors to gain any sort of traction in the polls.

Is Bernie too?

Not for the modern Dem party. The general voter base, maybe. Bernie could easily become the greater of two evils by being too radical.

And, as far as I know, which isn't far enough, the web sites warning about giving your money to the wrong party might just be another ploy. Haha Ploy upon ploy upon ploy upon ploy. Try that five times fast.

Of course Sanders isn't dumb, and he is likable. But in order for any candidate to get elected they have to get a certain number of votes outside their party. I just don't think Bernie can sway enough Republican and independent voters to pull it off. Imho.

It is of course best to go straight into saying
and thinking the worst of those with other viewpoints;
for lo, without politics, where is the poor bigot
to turn?

There is no question that no republican is
anything but a low life bad person it whom
no stupudity, depravity or pefidy is not rightly
attributed.

Any deranged person who is not on the right and
saying the same about libs, likewise illustrated with
examples, will agree.

After all, no dirty trick ever was played by a
democrat; they are too wonderful. Even the
"Trump dossier" was actually a Republican
thing.

Well, why should I care if you guys kerp it up
and tear yourselves to pieces.

I suspect that the republicans want him to keep dividing the field, so they would leave his support alone. The people who would be more likely to steal his monetary support would be criminals, and corporate interests (also criminals). Don't underestimate how badly big corporations want to stop universal health care. It's not the health care itself that they fear (though that's been a big fat gravy-train for them for a long time, it's the fear of price caps that would come along with universal health care to end their price-gouging the public in the name of phony "free enterprise". Once that house of cards falls, their reign of criminal greed will end. And they will do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn't happen.
