What can dems do?

Well it was asked last night about contempt of court by Trump and his 20 blocks from investigation.

A lawyer said this on CNN. Theyre hands are tied but they do have some leverage.
They could leave it to the courts but it may take a while if they do that. Democrats can also shut down the government again.

There are things Trump is asking for too that Democrats can keep saying no to anything he asks for.

Some may think it would put Democrats in a bad light to shut down the government. But I'm sure that some would turn it around and blame Trump too so.

I wouldn't mind another shutdown..................

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Let them shut down the government.

It not like the socialists were doing any productive work anyways.

Democrats didn't shut down the government last time. Trump did, said he was going to, and tried to blame it on dems after rejecting any compromising plan they put forward. And I don't want another shut down, I have friends that work in government and seeing them be unsure about how they were going to stretch their savings to keep payments up due to a white house tantrum sucked a lot.

But only one party seems to have any regard for the rule of law and the Constitution, namely, democracy, governmental transparency and separation of powers. The Republicans don't seem to care whether the election are honest. In fact, their indolence suggests that they prefer that they not be.

I have been a liberal most of my adult life, but became contemptuous of the Democrats when Pelosi, after riding a blue wave into the House speakership in 2006, announced that impeaching Bush was off the table.

Really? Even after he lied America into an immoral and costly war to no benefit to America or Americans other than war contractors? She was less than useless. The Democrats approved Bush's war budget. I simply stopped looking to them for anything valuable.

And I still don't trust Pelosi, but she seems to gearing up for impeachment and endless investigations to be referred to the US and state level prosecutors. She has this chance to win my support this time. They need to deal with Barr swiftly and decisively to set an example for others planning to refuse House subpoenas. Will they? Schiff, Nadler, Cummings, and Waters all seem to be armed for bear.

You're preaching to the choir LOL I just see both parties as a bunch of spineless do-nothings when it comes to the hard decisions.

Though i come off as a Democrat Im really liberal libertarian. I jump on the side of Democrats the past 2 years because it is so embarrassing and unbelievable that we have Trump as President and just Hoping Democrats will know how to get him out if nothing else by 2020.
I thought it was a joke when I heard Trump was running.

But as a rule I do think Libertarians have it right when they say Dems and Republicans are the same, so I'm not crazy about Democrats either, tweedle dee tweedle dum.

I just hate it that we have Trump so theres no where else to go except to hope Democrats can get rid of Trump, Trump is the worst POTUS we ever had and Id rather be on Democratic side then with Trump so,
