Isn’t Atheism a world view without reasons and arguments?

Atheism is not a world view. Is not believing in Santa Clause or the Easter bunny a world view? But I would argue that in general, atheists will hold a world view.

Most of the atheists I know also value critical thinking. Their reasons for being atheists tend to be a natural consequence of that value. Most of them don't feel they have been shown good, reliable, predictable evidence for god.

Atheists have reasons for their views like anyone else. Positive/negative, that's kind of a personal opinion call whether you want to judge those reasons as positive or negative.

Atheism isn't about spreading a "truth". It's about not believing what theists are arguing for.

What is it you think I'm trying to prove?

Hmm many atheists try to do that.

If there's a `God`, my confusion we'll be understood.
If there's not, who the hell cares !
You seem to care. You are constantly talking about theism etc

Atheism isn't touted as a "truth", so that doesn't apply.
What is it touted as?

No. It is not even a world view.

It does somewhat encourage - or should I perhaps say that it is encouraged by - world views without unnecessary questions, and therefore without unnecessary doubts.

Are they coming at their arguments from a position of atheism, though? Or is there something else driving their position? Many atheists are where they are because of applied skepticism. That's usually more of a defining position. If you want to have a conversation about their beliefs, maybe don't start with atheism.

hey Disc,
I've had three kids, lost my daughter, a good wife, a paid for home, the beach two blocks away, all my limbs, and live a good life. Why, if there is a `God`, would any `God` not accept me ?
But....as I have said many times, who really cares...The Cosmos accepts me as I am.

That's kind of a convoluted question. People have reasons for being an atheist. And they usually have an argument to make for the position, as well. They even think they have "evidence", though the lack of evidence is not really evidence of anything by it's own lack.

Truthfulness, on the other hand, is a whole other criteria. None of us knows the "truth" of God's existence. It's simply not possible given the limitations of our own finite humanity.

Atheism is touted as a statement about what a person does not believe in, namely deities.

"The only common thread that ties all atheists together is a lack of belief in gods. Some of the best debates we have ever had have been with fellow atheists. This is because atheists do not have a common belief system, sacred scripture or atheist Pope. This means atheists often disagree on many issues and ideas. Atheists come in a variety of shapes, colors, beliefs, convictions, and backgrounds. We are as unique as our fingerprints.

Atheists exist across the political spectrum. We are members of every race. We are members of the LGBTQ* community. There are atheists in urban, suburban, and rural communities and in every state of the nation."
