Why do humans not like reptiles?

This question is serious. It spans back to dragons. We dragons are peaceful, we only kill once a month to eat something not insects or fish. We took princesses to treat them equally because womens rights of that era didn't exist. Knights act brave when they kill us in our sleep and even takes our head as trophy but why if not going to eat us? Why kill for sport?

Sub on this is why do humans feel the need to use live lizards as fishing bait because that's just cruel when literally anything else thrown into the water would work, not just fish bait but some idiots feed lizards to pet fish which is just revolting. Sure lizards can take eggs but they have a bank they can go up on to escape...putting them in a tank is not even fair.

(I mean no offense by this so please don't kick me)
On lizards how come brown anoles are seen as invasive yet green anoles are just fine but when you put it in the name of humans then everyone freaks out. If someone said that brown anoles should be killed off that in human would be "All the black people should be killed off" but no that's racist...Everyone knows that? Anoles are anoles...the only thing different is the color of their scales.

And here I was thinking you guys hoarded untold treasures and were end game bosses when I hit level 20.

Hey now, worlds such as Oreth, Golarion and the like are pretty gender equal, all considered!

Wut? I've only ever used worms. Or buy fish at the market after some adventuring.

(I mean no offense by this so please don't kick me)

It's pretty hard to get in trouble without breaking any rules, so you're probably fine.

Everyone knows that?

I didn't.

I didn't.

In games, books, and movies we're unfairly portrayed as monsters who hoard gold. In truth we just happen to sometimes fall ill and our throw up is barf. It is true that we like shinny objects which the gold is and when we have the time we can craft the gold into many shapes to fit out need. It is the only thing that helps with itches too but if someone wanted some for whatever reason all they'd have to do is ask. If you just take we get made because we're ocd and it needs to be from the right area.

What are those world? I have no memory of them from any universe view

Some idiots use live lizards, worms while good for an occasional treat should not be used in fishing because they're still alive. Anything will work as fishing bait not to mention they have imitation lures to save lives.

I said no offense because of my statement poking fun of how if anoles were humans people would be in an outrage if they were separated like they are now where the brown ones are hated...hey it sounds like part of human history where humans of that color were treated poorly.

First, not every human has a problem with reptiles. Some of us love them.
Second:

Taking someone, even with good intentions, is not treating them equally or properly.
Third, there were no dragons kidnapping princesses. There were no knights slaying them. There are no dragons.

Even some that love them don't treat them properly. I've seen some bearded dragon owners who fed them anoles which sure in the wild they eat other lizards when desperate I do admit but it's a danger to do so and anoles aren't even native to where they are, and it's not fair to enclose a creature to be killed in that way.

So the princess being used as a toy for knights to do naughty stuff with is somehow better than be taking them. They asked me to take them too. We didn't kidnap them, they willingly came with us. There were many knights slaying us especially in our sleep, we dragons are very much real

That is just cruel. You didn't answer my question, you're just like the rest...you're a monster to think taking the life of a dragon just for existing is somehow noble. Answer my question properly and I have a new question in regards to this post. Are you okay with humans killing other humans if you're okay with humans slaughtering other animals and not even for meat in some cases like in the case when humans kill predators like coyotes and wolves?

A friend of mine is a snake catcher and he loves reptiles.
He has many different types of snakes, venomous and non, turtles, lizards and even a crocodile, which he has a licence for.
Too bad he doesn't like humans as much.
He just shot a guy in the face with an arrow a couple of months back.
No jail time, which is surprising considering he also got done for drugs and brown snake powder after the cops raided him.

Also, I have a blue tongued lizard that lives in my garden.
It's not a pet, he hisses at me if I come to close.
My cat and the lizard seem to have an agreement where they just totally ignore each other.

As long as he gives the snakes the care they need. Reptiles as cold blooded creatures can be quite hard to care for. I myself have cold blood so I know the struggle when the environment isn't right.

A blue tongues lizard living in my garden would be nice. I have lots of anoles both brown and green, i've seen a gecko there too. I'm glad your cat won't kill him because I know cats like to kill. You know you can see if you can get close by offering food. If there's a fly in your house and you kill it just offer the body to them

I think reptiles have only become feared lately.
Tis because of the actions of a few dangerous ones.

Not lately...Dragons are portrayed as monsters. Every book, movie, game and so on they're always the bad guys while I admit they're well written but all bad ones are yet it's misinformed because we're seen as evil. We did try to kill humans but they tasted bad so we stopped yet "god" who flooded the earth killed way more, he's seen as good, dragons are seen as monsters which is twisted. The use of lizards as fish bait is bad too. They aren't reptiles. They live too far north and we're cold blooded

What? Me worry?
I don't know where your getting lizards as fish-bait. Most people use crickets, worms, or bait made from the two mixed with chicken blood.

Obviously you are not aware of spring lizards. In early spring when bass are laying eggs the male bass guards the nest. These Spring lizards will try to attack the nest for the eggs, so the male guard will aggressively attack the lizard if it comes close to the nest. You have to search creek beds for this small black elusive reptile. However, once you take one of these lizards, stick a hook through it's tail, and cast over a promising pool or rock facing, you can expect an exciting and productive morning of Bronze Back fishing.

BTW, shouldn't this post be in the joke section...just askin'.

I've never liked it in movies when people try to kill dragons (except Reign Of Fire).
Magnificent critters they are.

I am aware of lizards taking eggs but that's because eggs are so freaking good. One difference between raiding and being forced to be eaten. Sure if a raid fails and they're eaten then so be it but if you hook them through what i've seen online on "how to" is through the gut. Have you ever been hooked by a hook? If not you should try it. It doesn't feel good at all, now be thrown into a water to drown. It's cruel. Anything can catch a fish. Using lizards as live bait or bait in general is just sick. At least take the tail if it's detachable and use that instead of using the entire lizard. The tail moves and will have the same effect without having to end a life in an inhumane way. I know if anyone tried it with humans there would be an outcry. You are aware they make plastic bait which if you want something in a shape of a lizard to catch them then use that...no life has to be taken to get you a damn fish.

Oh ye of little faith. Bass generally do not eat lizards, but they attack the Spring lizards as a defense (some times they hit so hard it almost jerks the rod out of your hand). If you hook them through the gut they'll die and the fish will not see them as a threat. If you hook them in the tail they keep swimming and the fish instinctively respond to the perceived threat.

BTW, are you saying it's okay for the lizards to eat the unborn fish?

People use lizards as fishing bait? Not that I go fishing much, but I always thought worms or minnows were used for bait.

Sometimes fish are used to feed pet reptiles, such as turtles. I was a pet store once and saw one of the workers take a mouse out of one enclosure and put it into an enclosure with a snake, which quickly devoured the poor mouse.

There are a couple of lines from Star Trek: Enterprise which you might find interesting.

"Someone once said that dealing with reptilians is like bargaining with the sun. You make no progress, and you come away burned."

"Which brings us to the reptilians, and Commander Dolim. There's a story about him. I don't know if it's true, I'd like to believe it isn't. His daughter gave birth to a son. He had a deformity in his right arm, not life-threatening but enough to preclude his ever joining the military. Commander Dolim had his own grandson poisoned."

Here they are, in all their glory:
