Well I will go ahead and cook you some bacon neighbor! I love bacon too!I like bacon. I really really like bacon.....and I'm not Jewish. Those laws you list were given specifically to the Jewish people. I'm of English and German heritage. And.....I really like bacon.
Probably, I'm a vegetarian, so no bacon for me thanks. Not to abolish bit fulfill means it is not a contradiction with chapter 22 where he sums the LaW into two commands.
So how does John say anything different, probably cause they are not cooking their neighbors enough bacon.
Oh man now that's where I'm a hypocrite eating live animals and such. My coworker just sticks to actively avoiding pork saying there is something to religious texts. Oh but he likes his shrimp.Probably, I'm a vegetarian, so no bacon for me thanks.

People pick and choose. Some of those same people that feel it is outdated, will turn around and preach that the Bible is God's word, 100% inerrant, and is the final authority. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Can't say I've tried that.Shrimp pizza?
Do you, as a Christian, live your life according to the Bible? Before you answer "yes", consider this:
In Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus very explicitly says NOT to annul any of the OT laws. Those laws are to be followed. When he says Laws and Prophets, he is talking about the Torah (Genesis through Deuteronomy) as well as the books/scrolls of the Major and Minor prophets. Knowing that, reconsider the title question. Then answer these questions truthfully:
1. Do you eat pork in any form? Bacon, sausage, ham, pork chops?
2. Do you play football or toss a leather football around in your backyard?
If so, you are in violation of Leviticus chapter 11.
3. Women, how soon after giving birth do you go to church? If you had a boy, you are supposed to wait 33 days. If it is a girl, you are supposed to wait 66 days.
If you go to church before then, you are in violation of Leviticus chapter 12.
4. Do you lie at all, even a simple, little white lie? Do you tell your kids about Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc.?
If so, you are in violation of Leviticus 19:11.
5. Do you wear garments made of different material? For example, do you have cotton shorts but wear silk boxers/panties? What about cotton boxers/panties but silk pajamas?
If so, you are in violation of Leviticus 19:19.
6. Men, do you sleep with your female slaves? What about the female slaves of another man?
If so, you are in violation of Leviticus 19:20-22.
7. Do you have any tattoos?
If so, guess what? You are in violation of Leviticus 19:28.
8. Have you ever been so mad that you cussed/cursed at your mother or father?
If so, you are to be put to death according to Leviticus 20:9.
9. Have you ever had sex with a woman that was menstruating, or did you as a woman have sex while on your period?
If so, you are in violation of Leviticus 20:18, and you both are to be banished from your people.
10. Have you ever gone to church and approached the altar/pulpit while having any of these: blindness, deafness, broken hand or foot, facial disfigurement, visual defect, dwarfism, eczema, scabs of any kind, or a crushed testicle?
If so, you are an abomination and in violation according to Leviticus 21:16-23.
So, are you TRULY Biblical? Or do you pick and choose?
Is there any type of Biblical language that you're using to make that discrepancy, or is that just your theology regardless of the language used throughout the Pentateuch? There is a difference between the law and judgments under the law. The law -essentially the ten commandments -does not change. Judgments under the law do change.
Christ told people not to stone those who were caught in the act of adultery -which they were supposed to do under the old judgments.
Adultery is still a sin -the law has not changed -but what is to be done by men in response has changed.
Do you, as a Christian, live your life according to the Bible?
One response to this that I've seen is this: the dead were never obliged to follow the law. Christians have "died to the world" through baptism and therefore have been released from the law.Do you, as a Christian, live your life according to the Bible? Before you answer "yes", consider this:

I believe It's not Batman or Superman; it's underwear man. Maybe someone shouldn't get them stuck too far up the rear. This is why I read through new threads that don't really apply to me. For gems like these.
Matthew 22 37-40. According to these commands I should be cooking bacon for my neighbor!
I'm almost afraid to ask but what church are you an ordained minister of?
