Balloons
The descent on a plane flight (I actually like turbulence, for some odd reason)
Large spiders
Food poisoning
Having a stage floor fall out from under me

Out of the entire list, balloons scare me the most. My worst nightmares made real are when I have to be in a room full of balloons. I had to transport two dozen helium balloons from a party supply store to a birthday party a few years ago (tried bribing, begging, and threatening to get out of it with no luck)....and two balloons popped right behind my head on my way to the party. Had to have been a hilarious sight for everybody else watching a grown woman driving down a street sobbing and screaming with a bunch a balloons in her car.

Deadlines.
Yeap. That word right there. Right now deadlines is all I'm focused about. Excavation reports, dissertation deadline. Nowhere to escape. :cover:

Oh, yes. I'm also terrified about being gulped by huge worms that can sense my footsteps on the sand, but that's just part of living in the deep desert. I knew what I was singing for back on planet Caladan. Join the army they said, see the universe, smoke some spice, make yourself cozy with a Benne Gesserit perhaps. Instead I'm knee-deep in fanatical natives and have to drink water filtered from my feces through a tube.

Just be sure to leave your shield belt at home.
