I love that style of debate. It essentially is screaming as loud as possible and making ridiculous analogies out of the other side's arguments.
What is more sad is how misinformed people are in general. There is an alarming tendency, at least in college students, to believe the most extreme information they are given.
Raise the pay dramatically. And offer benefits. Its particularly bad for high schools. If you are qualified to teach a subject, you probably can go into a better paying field. Especially in the maths and sciences

Many of my teachers in public school were quite conservitive... not much liberal bias to be found.
Many of the professors at my University are conservitive as well...
I find the idea that education is a "liberal thing" that needs to be dealt with by "conservitives"very disturbing.

I can see it now, 4 years after Rush takes over the Economy Department at Harvard, the entire country slips into a depression so deep that we never recover. In a surprising move, Rush blames Hillary for HIS failed experiments.
Maybe we can get Pat Robertson to head the Paleontology department for UF.
Newt Gingrich could always teach about tact and diplomacy.
Maybe we get Shrub to teach Boolean Algebra or logic 101?
Yeah, these would be SHREWD moves by any government wishing to TOPPLE US supremacy in our lifetime.
