  • I recently came across Sigmund Freud's book "Moses and Monotheism" with its links to Akhenaten and the possible Egyptian origins of Judaic monotheism.
As I would like to delve further into this, I was hoping you might have some thoughts on the subject, or could direct me to where I might find additional information.
Thank you RabbiO for the heads up, I was in the wrong DIR. I did not notice, so I deleted my posts.
I'm back. Check out my Normandie Pics thread and there're a couple of videos on there too :)
I came on the hottest day of the year and will be on trains home during torrential storms and again trains may be cancelled. Woohoo. I arrived fine though and bezrat HaShem I will be back just as well!
Hoping your arm is healing well.

Physical therapy is helping, range of motion is somewhat better, but I still have a ways to go. The therapists keep coming up with new ways to torture. I've kidded that I am joining the CIA after this because I'll be better to withstand torture. I can type short responses, but then muscles in the arm begin to stiffen.

    Thank you for caring.

I'm glad you feel you are improving :) And I do try! :p
I feel vindicated; my Koren Tanakh uses 'Seraf' instead of 'Seraph' and '****tim' instead of 'acacia'. Having used the KJV for so long, I know what ****tim wood is, but reading newer Christian translations had me baffled. I had no idea what acacia is. Makes me giggle every time.
I bought some chocolate coins today. I sort of feel like paying real money for fake money should be a crime, it's so ironic :p

Actually it is not fake money. Ask any children using it as currency when playing dreidl.

Do you know when I can schedule my heart surgery with rosends? Many people would be thrilled to know I actually have one.

You'll have to ask him. However, there is this fellow in Oz that I've heard good things about. Also does brains. I'm looking into booking that.

I extend my sympathies for what is going on with your mother. I wish you will have strength and success to make it through this difficult time.
Hi, it took a bit of thinking but I think this is where you've seen me :)))

I figured as much. I was just hedging my bets. Older folks, like me and my friend, metis, tend to stay with one monicker. It saves us from having to remember too much.
Hope you remember to call the fire department before lighting up you kosher birthday cake. Have a great day and following years...
I joined the Hebrew Cafe Jewish Forums last month and I noticed you are also there :)
Hey, just a message to let you know I appreciate it when you correct me. And you are so gentle with it too :)
