Thanks! I found it by accident while looking for reference for my paintings. I think it's a very beautiful style. The only way it could be better is if they were smiling, although in their defense they've been through hell and probably need a nap.

    I like it too!
Hi FS! I just had a question about Shaktism. What are your opinions about Lord Vishnu? Do you consider him as the husband of Sri Devi?

    Regards
    Namaste ji.

Kaise ho aap? Aaapki Hindi ki padhai kaisi ja rahi hai?

Bohot mahena se mai ne aapke videos nahi dekhe. Kuch naye vale hai?

(I'll put up the English translation if my Hindi was bad :))
Ahah well, I certainly don't mind. It's true that I'm not the most... uh... "feminine" woman around but I didn't know it was giving people these ideas xD

Actually, gender ambiguous is nice. I like balance (y)

Hope you are well, I hope your Lakshmi mata is doing well too !
Okay you're the second person today to think I am a trans, what have I done that let people think that ? xD

Not that I have any dislike toward trans people, on the contrary, I greatly support them. But I am wondering why people start to think I am trans lately all of a sudden, ahah xD
    Why you apologize sister ?
You shouldn't apologize for being nice to people ^^ it is becoming rare those days. Sorry if I am surprised !

    I like you too ^3^
Nine yards... ouch! A dhoti is 4-5 yards, and that's bad enough. With silk you have to use a pressing cloth on top of it. I was also thinking just that... how the heck did Mother Yashoda do it? Especially chasing Krishna around as a toddler. Poor thing... her hair all disheveled, sari coming undone, saying "you just wait until your father gets home!" (oh if there were a Hell I'd be sooo going there). :D
OK, here goes about the pleats. I got a new dhoti that is very very light. It's actually see through (white skivvies for the win), and a p.i.t.a to hand fold the pleats and keep them in. So I ironed them in where they should be, that was a job in itself. The best part... after the pleats were ironed in, I safety pinned the top and bottom so as I was wrapping, the pleats would stay put. I don't know how a sari is pleated, other than the front, but the iron and safety pins are your friends. :D
thanks for the frubal. it's not everyday that one gets rewarded for belaboring the obvious.
Not in the slightest. I was originally Googling the combination of two Greek roots: nivos/niphos (snow) and astros (star). Nivastra means naked, so I thought it was a funny coincidence.
Haha. Yes, I rarely see tourists in Gujarat. There are so many things to see like Gandhi Ashram and Dwarka, but only a few go there. It seems that tourists have this notion that "true" and "real" India is Delhi....when it is the most unsafe place for tourist females. In Gujarat, rapes never happen; and if they did, the perpetrator would be in heaps of trouble - the police can't be bought off in Gujarat...they are very serious regarding these matters. If tourist had that happen to her in Gujarat, Gujarat would be very ashamed. This notion of female reverence comes from Gujarati culture: women are like Goddesses; in Gujarati families, the women control the men hehe. :)
