  • Maybe... I'm in the Pacific Time Zone- Los Angeles specifically. It's 3:52 p.m.-8 minutes more of pretending to work!
It's all about riding the coattails of people smarter than me. It makes me look so much better. :D
i hate it when my cat tears up the toilet paper and leaves it there for me to clean up! at least eat it! ;)
Is this space for rent? I would like to lease this space to advertise my new body wash made from recycled engine motor oil.

Teens: Questions about... 09-17-2009 01:32 PM Alceste well done!"

Well done? Are you kidding? It felt horrible. I feel like I'm a different person now that I know what orgasm feels like, and the whole "orgasm" thing didn't feel good at all. See the thread for more details.
Alceste, I saw an identical username on LibraryThing. You don't happen to have an account there, do you?
Those are very good points about Iran.

I just want a genuinely progressive president and congress. Real health care. Real efforts to curb global warming. Real reform. Instead, we have Obama. Biden would have been better. Kucinich would have been a dream. Alceste, I'm just so disappointed these days even though Obama is miles better than McCain.
Yeah, McCain and Palin would have been worse -- we might even have been in a war with Iran by now if they'd gotten elected.

Palin made the news again today -- Vanity Fair has published an article on her remarkable lying. But I doubt the article costs her any votes. Her followers don't care about such things, is my guess.
It seems to me Obama has pulled a bait and switch. But, as you point out, the hopeful thing is that the people responded so strongly to the ideals he seemed to represent to them. Maybe that desire for real meaningful change will not go away.
That's a very good point about the positive response of folks to the vision they were sold. I wonder if there is any politician out there who would work to realize such a vision?
The guy is ill, but he's in very deep denial that he's ill. What's curious about his illness to me is that he's got a malicious streak masked or fueled by self-righteousness. Very few mentally ill people are actually malicious.
