Something that happened in the passed yoctosecond is said to be the — PAST

Something that will happen in the next coming yoctosecond is — FUTURE

What can happen in between this past — future ?

Does PRESENT exists ?

Maybe, but if it does we would have no way of knowing other than deducing that something must be tying the past and the future together.

Every way that we perceive reality involves at least the nanosecond of lag it takes for messages sent by your eyes, ears, skin, tongue, nose, to reach your brain.

By the time you're experiencing the present, it's already the past.

Edit: "yoctosecond". Thanks for the new word. :p

It’s you yourself/thyself which is tying the past and future.

Pull yourself/thyself from the timeline o----o-----o

o Your-past — o thyself — o Your coming future

——————— a blank timeline is left behind without any existence.

Now exists. It happens as you experience it but before you are self aware of it.
Consciousness is really an afterthought. When your mind finally gets around to informing your consciousness what is going on around you whatever it was no longer is.

You have to let go of self awareness to be in the present. That not easy to do because we identify with it and are so attached to it. Stop being self aware and just be aware.

Consciousness is before-thought, not after-thought.

If consciousness is after-thought, then - who/what witnessing that it is after-thought ?

Consciousness as in self awareness.
I should have said self awareness is the afterthought.
If you are asking who is experiencing now , it's you, the brain.

Living in the now or the present, is based on neural connections between sensory stimulus and arousal via the brain stem. Before the brain stem arousal creates awareness, it is still our future, and after that, it is recorded in memory and becomes our past. The thalamus is the main switching station that allows us, like an animal, to exist in the now or present; arousal for next instructions.

Like in relativity, reference of the past, present and future is relative to our observational reference, which for humans begins when we are aroused to an awareness of the past, present or future. One cannot observe a present, that you are not aware of; no arousal.

There is an effect that I like to call sensory expectation. This is where we anticipate a future present. This often comes from the memory of a past that repeats itself. For example, we know the sun will set each day, so we go to the top of the hill and wait as the sun approaches the horizon. We are anticipating that instant of a new present, when our senses will cause arousal of the new present. It is still a good buzz. Deja Vu is often connected to spontaneous unconscious arousal connected to sensory expectation.

A memorable time of sensory expectation, for me, used to happen in Junior High School. All the boys in my class would watch the clock tick the final seconds of the morning, until the clocked reached 12 noon. At that time, the bell would ring, for lunch. As soon as the bell rang, this would be followed by a mad rush of the boys out door, down the corridor, then down a double staircase, with landings, and a final corridor, to the cafeteria, to be first in line. We got to the point of jumping down each 8 stair staircase, all the way to each landing, to get an edge. Many of us were fast runners.

The teacher knew our pattern, so he would act as starting referee, to make sure nobody cheated or started too early. This was boyish fun until the rush of boys almost knocked over a substitute teacher, who did not yet have sensory expectation of the noon time stampede. After that we were not allowed to run, but only walk, with the ultimatum if anyone gets hurt; sensory expectation, that game would stop; control the future's present.

Existence is before thought.
In the beginning me and God both were one with each other like; "Drop in sea and sea in drop"

So, If the question is; Sea/God's exisence is before-thought ? then the answer is YES
But, If the question is; My individual existence is before-thought ? then the answer is NO

NO BECAUSE

I am NOT God's thought.
I am thought which will cease to exsit if merge back into God.
