Suspect charged with hate crime for destroying Satanic Temple display at Iowa Capitol

A religion to be defined as such, needs to pursue positive purposes, such as the self-development and the self-improvement; and the improvement of society.
So by that definition, The Satanic Temple not only meets those requirements, but far exceeds your religion in those regards.

The following are their tenets:

I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

Oh goodie, a quote from scripture!

"12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

Praise God. So, you think that means I should not smash tributes to Satan?

I am not a betting person, but if I was would bet you $100 Matthew would be on my side.
I dunno. Jesus hung out with sinners, tax collectors, and prostitutes.

Out respect for the law, liberty, the constitution, etc.? Would it be fair for someone to destroy a Christian display if they don't like Christianity? If not, what would entitle you to that special privilege?

You are assuming I give a crap about the Constitution, when it comes to what is right or wrong? I do not.

What would entitle me to that privilege? Truth and my obligation to our Creator. IMHO.

Since you're well-informed, who is Satan in Satanism?

Vandalizing other people's property is wrong. Do you honestly think petty butthurt takes precedence over law and liberty?

So 9/11 was justified since that's how the terrorists believed; their Truth and obligation to their Creator?

Law and liberty? Whose law?

As to Sept 11, no. Killing is wrong, no matter the grievance being addressed.

So, if you reject Jesus's words, are you really a follower of Christ, as you claim?

It's all right there in that chapter. Under delusion so they do not believe the truth, even when it is presented to them, but took pleasure in unrighteousness.

So to be clear, you are saying that scripture you quoted argues against me fighting against the evil one? Interesting interpretation!

The law of the land you live in, and from which the liberty you enjoy.

Theft and vandalism are also wrong.

I say F the 'law of the land I live in' when it is wrong. Would you have defended, say, slavery when it was the 'law of the land?'

We disagree on the issue of vandalism.

Jesus and his followers worked by exorcising demons. Just remember this: the demon must be invoked before it can be exorcised. The antichrist comes before Christ. Strong delusion comes before awakening. (2 Thes 2) Think about it, and remember. Thank you.

I can see violating the law when it is wrong.
This comes with costs, of course.
So this choice demands thoughtful consideration.
An example is resisting the military draft.

Note:
I'm addressing hypothetical choices that people face.
Not advocating violating laws.
