Can someone please explain to me why a "drag show" is suddenly the epitome of evil?

Personally I am on the side of the parents. If the parents object, let them object; if the parents like it, let them support it.
Exactly! If the drag queens want to read or put on a show for kids, get a community building and let the parents that want their kids there, take them.

What is the difference? It is just clothes, dress up, costumes.

Personally I am not a big fan of drag shows. Personally I am not a big fan of clowns. And for me, they are very much the same, flamboyant colourful clothing, lots of make up, exaggerated behaviour. This is not a moral condemnation of either, just not my cup of tea.

So is pole dancing. When is the next kids show for pole dancers?

Again, I have never heard about any child being forced to attend such a performance, never heard about any child attending against the parents wishes.

So this is a non-issue.
That response was directed at me, not those complaining; so for ME it is a non issue. But for those complaining, it obviously is an issue hence their complaints.

If they are fully clothed, what is the harm?

Whats the harm? Do you think this is ok?

I knew you would not answer the posed question but reply with a question. Looking back, that is about all you do. Good day.

Btw... They first thing I did when I posted was answer your question..

"Is it ok for a woman wearing pants to read a story to children"

Sure. She could even wear shorts.

Then let me answer the question clearly and unambiguously

Yes, after looking at your link I think that is ok. I see absolutely no problem with it.

I would prefer they read a book to the kids, I think that would be better. But I have no problem with this.

So if you would be so kind, would you please answer my question.

Who got hurt?

From this point forward, you can assume when I am talking to you, I am talking to you. Hope that clears up any confusion in the future.
Are you somehow under the impression that prior to this little announcement, that I was under the impression that when you were talking to me, you were NOT talking to me? How did you make that leap??? No my friend; this cleared nothing up.

Well there were several times when I asked you what you thought you replied by telling me what "they" thought.

No they aren't, they are kids.
And thanks for illustrating the problem.
Rubbish. I was absolutely smitten by my grade 3 teacher in Ottawa, Mr. Bell. And I dang well knew that he and I were both "boys." My Children's Aid records report that I had a sexual experience (manual only) with an 18 year old when I was 8 -- and it was my choice. If Mr. Bell had been that sort of person (a pederast), I''m pretty sure I'd have let him have his way with me.

If I did that, perhaps I didn't notice you wanted my opinion, if I did this; that was my mistake. But in this instance, you made it clear you wanted my view, so I gave my view. Then somebody else took my view and used it to claim they have nothing to complain about.

Tina Turner has worn short skirts, makeup, wigs, and other such attire. She also sings about sexually suggestive themes. Many female artists do this. Maybe even the vast majority when we're talking pop music. Nobody takes children attending such concerts to be "sexually dangerous."

When men put on drag shows they are often imitating famous female artists... that is... they are DOING THE EXACT SAME THINGS THESE FEMALE ARTISTS DO.

If you want to say drag shows are sexually dangerous for children, you must say that of the vast majority of female pop music. But conservatives DON'T say that. Why? Because they are trying to discriminate against gays, not "protect children."

Sexual inappropriate is different from sexually dangerous.

I've been to many concerts growing up. Didn't see many young kids at them. Have you?

So then why are we whining if the kids attending these shows have their parents' permission? If they're not their kids, then they should mind their own business, right?

What constitutes "hatred" is completely subjective. Obviously they don't see themselves as haters, they see themselves as right.
Clearly. But can any good person defend the gruesomeness and cruelty of the Nazis.
But when someone's actions are based on irrational reasons and needlessly cause harm, discrimination and a denial of rights to others it's hatred.
