There was a guy who hung around with the crowd i hung with at uni. Hr didn't attend uni, but he was often about when he wasn't in bed with a woman. His pickup line was obnoxious but he had lots of success with it.

There is the usual division down to smaller units of conversation and the restaurant choices are pretty good.
I grew up in a family of talkers, that probably helps. I remember gatherings with my moms brothers and how the conversation would get louder and louder to overcome the background noise and each other. Still, the topics were very interesting and worth listening too. Oddly, my father didn't always join in and often kept his own council. I don't think it was as aloof as it appeared. I think his developing hearing loss made it all noise.
