nobody likes proud people, it's repulsive and makes one feel unconfortable
See if you can use a better word than "pride".
Maybe a description.
By your words, having enough pride to
comb your hair is repulsive.

It used to be that being filthy
was essential for a Christian
"Holy" man.

pastor is correct though in saying that pride is evil.
it's not even about God or the bible, fact is that pride is antisocial behavior.
Pride in the context of this is not the same, but I'd imagine, nay, even bet $ that you've been told this by others already.

The word is polysemous and in the context of pride month, it is not about arrogance, it is about dignity and self advocacy, not being ashamed because some subculture tells you you're abhorrent by just being attracted to gay people and wanting to have a healthy relationship

Pride in the excessive sense is a problem, though I'm pretty sure most people would say it's not criminal in itself, only if it results in demonstrably criminal or antisocial behavior. Having confidence is not the problem, it's failing to realize when that confidence has gone beyond simple belief that you are valid

No it's not, it's all about friendship with out the hatred metered out by bigots
I'd be shocked if someone hasn't just brought out how the word has multiple definitions, even posted them. Only a few are necessarily negative in the specific context. Is it bad to have pride in your community, like your hometown or your state or your favorite sports team? And in the context of a month that was about 2 months ago at this point, it has another meaning more related to the awareness of your dignity

All that calling oneself a Christian means in the real world that we all inhabit is that one belief eves that there is a god, that one is born sinful and that Jesus is the way and the door to salvation from the wages of blah blah blah.

And if you ask me what a Christian is
I'd say—not one who's pure in word and deed,
or goes to all the Sunday services,
or says their prayers, or knows the proper creed,

but that one who would gladly give away
all that they have now or have ever been
to stand between the dark tomb and the day
and know the moment of the Magdalene.

And you know that how, exactly?

Children are not sexual. If you disagree, please explain why?

Sexuality is something that develops as person grows and it can be compared to taste for food. People learn to like different foods and learn different eating habits. For example most people have learned to eat through a mouth, because it is reasonable and food tastes better that way. Not many try to eat trough their ear, even though ear is also hole in a head. Similarly, there are reasonable and unreasonable ways to satisfy sexual appetite. Some people develop a bad taste in sexuality that is not reasonable and not good for their health. Bad taste can develop if person has experiences that leads him to seek satisfaction in a way that is not reasonable. One can unlearn bad habits and one can also learn bad habits, they are not programmed to persons mind in the birth. If you disagree, please tell one example and how it was programmed?

That is why I say, people are not born gay, they are groomed to it. Which explains why LBGP... people want to push their alphabet propaganda for small children. That is the best time to mess their development and guide them to a bad taste.

Then you deny that God's will is written in any other scripture, yes? Or that God's will can be written by God directly into the hearts of individual humans, yes? Only what is in the Bible is God's will, yes?...

If Bible God's will is written to something else than the Bible, the writing and message is the same. I think it is possible that it is written to persons heart for example, as told in the Bible.

Which explains why LBGP.

You did not just add a P to LGBT. The LGBT community is against CP, and always has been. There are outliers that try to sneak their way in, but we will never accept them.

Grooming children? No one is trying to make children sexual. Before children even know what sex is, they develop crushes. These are usually romantic in nature, not sexual. Some children have same sex crushes. It's normal and natural. No one except CP wants to make children sexual (actually typing that out gives me the heebie jeebies).

Did you seriously just try to smuggle pedophiles into this discussion about homosexuality?
And then claim they're grooming kids to be gay?

"Grooming" is thrown around all too often these days by people who don't know what they're talking about.

By God's law it is. It's called fornication. God didn't create man to lay with man or a woman to lay with a woman, it's not natural. God also doesn't recognize the marriage between a man and a man or a woman to a woman.
Being gay isn't a sex act. Just like being "straight" isn't a sex act.
Being homosexual just means you're attracted to people of the same sex as yourself.
Being heterosexual just means you're attracted to people from the opposite sex.

It's funny how you say I'm generalizing, but in same time you don't see yourself generalizing on Christians, is this not hypocrisy?
Could you point out where you think I've done that?
Or is this just an attempt at deflection?

Or you could just speak to the point. That would be nice.

There is nothing wrong in patriotism or belonging to a group.
But there is a line when pride stops being reasonable and becomes repulsive and counter productive.

It's very simple, if you live by OT you can't call yourself Christian, Christians are literary Christ's followers and live by NT.
If somebody thinks we should live by the Jewish law (like this pastor), he's subject to law not to Jesus, and thus is not Christian but rather Jew.

An putting me into the same basket as this "pastor" is not insulting and ignorant and stupid?
Do you think he represents Christians or what Christianity is?

Have you never read John 8:1-11
Do you not find this "pastor" contradictory to Jesus' teachings?

I can understand you don't like what this pastor is saying, but what does this have to do with Christianity really?

You know that door knockers are sectarians just like this pastor?

Beside that, isn't your position that this pastor represent Christianity?

You clearly didn't read the law in context, it says there are limits to free speech
What are those limits? please quote from source.

Door knockers are a very specific group of people that do a very specific thing - knock on doors to spread the word of their religious beliefs.

And actually what I told you is that you're stereotyping. You have yet to address it. All you've done is attempt to deflect from it, since I pointed it out.

No. Are you planning on addressing the point sometime?

yes I'm stereotyping because stereotyping is obviously the language of gay people and gay supporters as you can see for yourself in this thread.

You are making a facile sweeping generalisation. Define child, define sexual? Humans mature slowly, and sexuality is a gradual process, we don't wake up one day having changed from child to adult. What is necessary is to teach children in a timely and factual manner, what they need to know to be safe, and to make others safe.

The sexual repression that many religions teach is deeply harmful. Indeed it has been demonstrated again and again to be so.
