And do you have any thoughts as to how that will come about? Have you ever listened to the Youtube video by Carl Sagan called "Pale Blue Dot?"
In an ideal situation maybe, but too many of us are more willing to continue business as usual, than to do the necessary inner work to overcome that.
As I see it it will continue. Our best way to combat this is to change the way conflict is handled. Maybe instead of warfare, war games, for example, or athletic events.
I'm sure that's fraught with meaning where you live. Means nada to me.

It is possible I agree with your first point, but I would really like you to provide more detail on why you think it is not desirable. Do you think that fighting with each other is valuable for our species in some way?

I don't think so. You are human, you are able to reflect on youself, what drives you, what pisses you off, what you hope for and deplore. Use that to try to answer.

If Trump was never president no nuclear science would have been chosen.

I am not sure that I could speak for the human race as a whole, but I do feel that there are many people alive today that I will never find common ground with.
I used to try to find common ground with everyone, but after a few abusive relationships I realized that some people are just never going to value cooperation. They want domination, and I cannot persuade them out of it any more than they could persuade me to want to bully others.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that before and like the idea.
Thing is though, when one tries to gain their right by playful competition, one party could still refuse to accept defeat and accuse the other party of cheating... And there will be cheaters.
And imperialistic countries/collectives with the best athletes will likely abuse this rule to try and conquer the world and oppress people.
This will likely result in old fashioned war sooner or later.
But before all that could be made even possible, one has to impose such a system upon the world population first...

I believe that is what the future holds because I am a Baha'i.

What these verses mean to a Baha’i is that In the future diverse religions and races will become comrades, friends and companions. The contentions of races, the differences of religions, and the barriers between nations will be completely removed, and all will attain perfect union and reconciliation. Eventually, there will be only one religion, the religion of God.

It's why human law a new branch was introduced.
Maybe you need to establish a spiritual ordered new branch to deal with scientist rich men causes historic like Rome had.
As it dealt with man's thoughts of a need to destroy civilisations himself.
As law seems in his psyche appraisal to not be heeded anymore.
