However, the Supreme Court ruled in a 1961 case that a Maryland man appointed as a notary public didn’t have to declare his belief in a supreme being to hold office, arguing it violated his rights under the First and Fourteenth Amendments. Since then, these restrictions haven’t been enforced, said Dave Muscato, a spokesman for American Atheists.

This leads me to believe that none of the States listed in your link are enforcing this.
There are many laws on States books that are arcane and not being enforced.
If, and this is a big if, they are being upheald then why hasn't the American Atheists brought this before the courts?

With no evidence of voter fraud, Texas enacted a pro-bureaucracy law making law-abiding citizens jump through unneeded hoops.

Hundreds of mail-in ballot applications are being rejected under Texas’ new voting rules

In Harris County, 208 applications — roughly 16% of the 1,276 applications received so far — have been rejected based on the new rules. That includes 137 applications on which voters had not filled out the new ID requirements and 71 applications that included an ID number that wasn’t in the voter’s record.

In Travis County, officials said they’ve rejected about half of the roughly 700 applications they’ve received so far, with the “vast majority” of rejections based on the new voting law.

In Bexar County, officials have rejected 200 applications on which the ID section was not filled out. Another 125 were rejected because the voter had provided their driver’s license number on the application, but that number was not in their voter record.

“It’s disturbing that our senior citizens who have relished and embraced voting by mail are now having to jump through some hoops, and it’s upsetting when we have to send a rejection letter [when] we can see they’ve voted with us by mail for years,” said Jacque Callanen, the Bexar County election administrator.
Many states have laws dealing with how absentee ballots must be handled.
It looks like Texas has just caught up with other States.
Maybe you don't think you need to prove who you are in order to vote. Is that it?

They do get challenged. And these laws exist, yes they do get enforced, and yes they are blatantly unconstitutional. And that's Maryland. There are several states with these laws.

You posting right wing rhetoric doesn't work, nor masquerade as an honest comment. There are too many informed members here for you to get away with posting that nonsense.
Only your 'informed' biased pals are.

You've already exposed yourself as accepting right wing rhetoric and not being honest in how you depict democrats, and you continue here.

I suggest you ask democrats what they think instead of trying to spread more disinformation.
It's only disinformation to you and your biased pals.

So what's the self-serving reason Republicans want ID?
How does that help their chances in elections, do you think?
Well it helps keep illegals and foreigners from casting ballots.

Pretty innovative isn't it?

Except that doesn't happen. Republicans and Conservatives have for so many years have been screaming about this, wailing and gnashing their teeth, but yet even when their big moment came it was a bunch of nothing they were able to offer up as evidence. At this point it is reasonable to say they are afraid of the boogeyman and shadows. And superstition and unverifiable claims have no business or place deciding public legislation.

No its preventing things like foreign interference from happening within our electoral system.

Already Democrats put their seal of approval this well thought out plan....

San Francisco allows undocumented immigrants to vote in school elections

Then the hypocrites have the sheer gaul to scream, cry, and whine about foreign interference.

For your information, local school elections aren't what Republicans have been biting their nails and raising their blood pressure over. Other than isolated incidents that can't even sway the election for county sheriff's there's nothing.
Republicans and Conservatives really just made themselves another boogeyman to be afraid of. Lots of them are afraid of the devil, and now they're scared and swearing our elections aren't secure or fair. All the evidence points to 2020 being a solid election. The Reps and Cons just plugged their ears amd screamed about nonsense.

Democrats want to rig the election system. It's really obvious.

They have been trying for decades and already succeeded with these so called 'isolated incidents' like school elections which the implications from such things come across as being pretty cavalier for you.

Of course the New Voting Rights Act is here just in time for the mid terms elections. What timing!

Pretty convenient for some more sneaky smoke and mirrors antics to take place for their own advantage but they are not getting it.

This one covers Natives who sometimes live in remote places and can't easily get to any of that (including stamps).
The Postal Service will deliver stamps via the mail. Anyone who can receive mail can send mail.
