Israel Frozen Out

Here is the timeline.

1917 Ottoman rule of Palestine ended by Arab and British Forces.
1917 Balfour Declaration.
1922 British Mandate for Palestine begins.
1948 Britain ends Mandate.
1948 Israel created.

So unless you can dispute those facts British "meddling" was a key factor in creating Israel.

The british mandate was established by the "League of Nations" to replace the Ottoman Empire. the areas prior rulers. There was no Jordan or Israel. Only an area known as Palestine Tran Jordan.

Clearly, May be that is why the Palestinians fought so hard against the massive immigration from Europe of European Jews?
Could be. That's probably the reason they massacred the Hebron Jews as well, for being Ashkenazis (European).

I think you will find that it was due to rumours some Jews were about to seize control of the temple mount. Unless you have some historical evidence to suggest otherwise.

British history, like all, has good and bad moments.

I think the Israel creation debacle was not a great moment.

There's quite a lot of not great ones tbf, but we are not alone in that.

Anyway, our little corner of the world produced Williams Shakespeare and Blake, and Keats and Shelley (Percy and Mary), and The Beatles and the Stones so...

B+J US is trying to impose its political agenda on B+J Israel and when B+J Israel (which, IIRC, has its own factory in Israel) says "no" B+J America says "at the end of 2022 you lose your license."

Unilever USA says "Hey, B+J USA doesn't speak for us. We own them but they have their own independence and agenda."

So American supporters of Israel might say "we will use Unilever products but not B+J."

Israeli supporters of Israel might say "we will eat lots to keep the Israel B+J in business and making money until the license ends and then we'll figure things out"

Political scientists say "not only is B+J USA's statement somewhat inconsistent with their work elsewhere, but it also is missing a lot of detail and it disadvantages Arab employees and Arab consumers"

Cynics say "clearly B+J wasn't doing financially well enough in those areas to continue marketing there so they decided to wrap the decision not to place product there in a politically woke bow"

Unilever says "we have other ice cream products in Israel ready to step in -- awesome!" Other companies are saying the same.

Some people just ask "how can there be occupied territory if there is no sovereign nation called Palestine?"

This appears to be a rather scathing criticism over ice cream. Whether or not it's anti-Israel would depend on whether they practice their principles consistently. Have they banned their product in every country which has had questionable territorial acquisitions? If not, why not?
Seems to me a strong case of "you're either with us or against us."
