My view on Jesus.

I have given outlines of my view on Jesus several times in the last three or four weeks. Some people thought interesting, others obviously disagreed and a couple were outright hostile to the idea.

I am afraid that 'the Jesus' whom you kindly presented here reflects, to a good extent, the nature of a human who has no idea of the existence of Love; other than the well-known chemical one, of course.

So thank you for sharing your version of Jesus story. I personally didn't imagine that Jesus could be presented someday in an image which is much worse than of a myth!

If I understood you well, in your view based on your outstanding research, Jesus was a very strong criminal who didn't mind threatening the most powerful Empire in his time; the Roman Empire. Your story reminds me when the world was told, in our days, that a guy called Bin Laden was threatening the existence of USA!. Then, the world was told again that a guy called Saddam was threatening the entire world, not just USA. I mean, I am sorry, your well detailed novel is no more attractive and one of its kind anymore after the world heard of Bin Laden and Saddam :(

Do you realize that you just confirmed one of @ChristineM 's claims? If he was viewed as that sort of criminal by the Roman Empire he would have been left up on the cross to rot. That was part of the punishment. It reminded people only too strongly that that could happen to them as well. The Roman Empire did not care for the niceties of the religions of the peoples that it ruled over.

In his time it is possible Jesus would have been considered a terrorist on the lines of Saddam Hussein or Bin Laden. It is the logical conclusion following his crucifixion. But i have nothing in the way of evidence to justify that idea.

And of course, Roman history, its treatment of criminals is no myth

Sorry?! I confirmed what?!
I thought, based on my view on what I heard as being the OP view on Jesus, that the thread is about an innovative joke for fun that I never heard before. So I am real sorry, and I hope all here can forgive my ignorance.

No, its no joke, as i explained it is a possibility based on my research of Roman law.

And not particularly innovative considering some of it came from Jesus time, and some from ancient Hebrew writing

If it were a joke i would have posted it in the jokes sub forum

Because it was preparation day for the Passover the Jews didn't want the bodies exposed so they asked Pilate to dispatch them. The Roman guards broke the legs of the 2 thieves but found Jesus already dead, however they pierced his side just to make sure.

As ChristineM just explained, how crucifixion was done is well understood. When you claim that Jesus was likely seen as a political terrorist by the Romans you also confirm that he would have been left up on the cross. They would not have taken him down for a Hebrew holiday.

And the Romans simply did not act that way.

Just between you and I, if, by a miracle, one is allowed, in our days, to repeat, before the world's multitudes (via satellites) the crucial natural truths about life and the real world, as clear as Jesus does on the Gospel I have, the world will not let him be alive more than a couple of days, at best.

Now, you know why all Christian preachers around the world are safe; though as long they are not involved in politics, other religions/beliefs or sexual affairs. They are clever enough to know how to avoid preaching these natural truths in a very clear way anytime they talk in public.

And the rest of RF reading this.

The bible is one book with no first hand confirmatory evidence, just the same way as my OP . Without first hand evidence each is as valid as the other. You are welcome you your beliefs. I would appreciate it if you offered the same freedom of thought to me.

I would be interested in the specific natural truths about life and the real world that would get someone killed if they spoke them in a world-wide platform.
And all of Christianity's current leaders are afraid or unwilling to speak these natural truths? But these natural truths are described in the NT.
My curiosity is quite piqued!

The Romans simply would not have done this. He was a criminal, **** on him, his value is to serve as a "scarecrow." The Romans wouldn't have bothered. They didn't care, everyone else was beneath them anyways.
It would be about like asking a hard on crime Conservative who's very pro-Gitmo to take it easy on Muslim prisoners during Ramadan. Not gonna happen. Bin Laden didn't get a proper Muslim burial. The Romans wouldn't have either and they certainly wouldn't have made exceptions for a Jew condemned as a terrorist and insurrectionist.
