The Noxious Provocation of the Jerusalem Day Flag March

From The Times of Israel: Despite Jerusalem Day unrest, police won't change Flag March route

Police have decided not to alter the route of the Jerusalem Day Flag March through Jerusalem’s Old City, despite spiraling tensions and major clashes on the Temple Mount, according to Hebrew media reports.

The route will go through Damascus Gate and the Muslim Quarter, as planned.

The event — set to begin at 4 p.m. — usually draws tens of thousands of young, mostly religious nationalist Israeli Jews.

The annual Old City march generally sees clashes between far-right Jews and Palestinians. This year, with tensions at a boiling point, security officials are reportedly convinced the event will be marked by violence between the sides.

Earlier, all of Israel’s security services recommended that police change the planned route of the march in order to limit the chances of direct confrontations between the participants and the Muslim residents of the city.

During a situational assessment by Israel’s political leadership, the Israel Defense Forces, Shin Bet security service and Israel’s military liaison to the Palestinians all said they believe that the current route would likely result in violence.

According to Channel 12, Defense Minister Benny Gantz also called for the police to alter the route.
Nothing particularly new here, just Israel's annual hateful provocation in the name of Zionism.

This kind of hateful action is why I'm no longer a supporter of the state of Israel. I hope and pray the day soon comes when Israel will turn from this dark path.

Depressingly familiar to anyone who has followed the Irish Troubles, over the years.

Its more than a shame that the religious significance of Jerusalem to the Jews, Christians and Muslims is allowed to become a political weapon.

Would you look at that. I believe that that's what happens when pyrotechnics (and not to mention, lethal projectiles and other sorts of weaponry) are brought to one of the holiest Islamic worship sites, during prayer.

Pro-Palestinians, spin this. What do you call this now in America? "Peaceful protests", was it? And are we all going to ignore the last month or so of Palestinian-invoked violence?

Why, thank you.
Here's a picture of the Iron Dome at work above my yeshiva:

Those puffy things are all that's left from the missiles sent by the Gazan brethren of those that rioted on the Temple Mount and all around Israel for the last month or so.
