I could do with a return to NASCAR. I have never been to a live event, but I understand that they are quite amazing. There is a limited lifetime to NASCAR. Some day they won't be fossil fuel vehicles, The roar of the engines will be silenced:(

Personally, having been to both Bristol...the race where Earnhardt took Labonte out on the last lap while trying to “rattle his cage”...and Richmond, I’d rather watch a race on TV. No replays when you’re at the track. If you miss something, you missed it.

What’s awesome is I no longer have to pay for TV to see NASCAR. They upload every race to YouTube.

You are probably right. But I would like to be there for the experience.

These days on TV events are analyzed and reanalyzed almost instantly, so I agree with you on that. Not only do you get to see a crash or pass but with most DVR's you can rewind at home and there is no problem doing that with YouTube.

Technology only makes events better.

I used to talk regularly with a man that worked for Sports Vision. They are the company that first put the digital first down line on pro football games on TV. They had expanded to NASCAR and part of their technology were incredibly accurate GPS systems on the cars. With a fixed base unit they knew the location of cars to the inch or less at any time on the track.

I certainly recommend going to at least one for the experience. I’m not saying it’s not fun, but I know you to be an analytical type like myself, and would imagine you would be bothered by not knowing everything that’s going on in the race in missing a key pass or who or what caused a wreck.

One that would not happen here. In fact when I see the word "Gaol" my mind always tries to read it with a hard "G". The automatic response if seen out of context is that it is a typo.
