No craving for meat

Being a vegetarian or vegan is of course a personal choice people make, that does not mean those of us who choose to not eat meat should speak bad about those who chose to still eat meat :)

You have to eat at least some meat products or you will get sick. Strict vegetarian is not good for you.
Not true

The best way is to go strict vegetarian and it will become apparent soon enough.
Not true

And everyone of them has taken substances from animal based sources.
Not true

Eggs are animal products albeit one needs to watch cholesterol levels.
True

Past a certain point extreme vegan is potentially disastrous and life threatening.
Not true
Unless you mean with extreme vegan that they eat one carrot a day only (no other food), then I agree that most humans will get into big trouble

Such as?

How do you say about getting sick by going vegetarian then, if you then say this? Inconsistent.
Probably through dairy and eggs or animal based supplements.

Vegetarian diets make you sick over time. Like smoking its a slow process but eventually it will happen.

We are omnivores so some meat based nutrition is not an option.

Do you know the difference of vegetarian and vegan?

I don't eat dairy or eggs. If I buy supplements I buy vegan ones, as per the label. Maybe you don't know my diet quite as well as me.

Vegetarian diets make you sick over time.

False, as I said. When will I become sick from my diet then? Vegetarian from early 20s, now 61. Any idea so I can plan ahead? If it turns out I'm not immortal will that show you were correct?

Meat Marketing Monthly.
Pretty much. About 30 years ago, Canada tried to change its Canada Food Guide. The old one had 4 groups: veggies, grains, meat, and dairy, and the proposal was to combine dairy and meat into one, and add a fourth for nuts and legumes, mostly the protein alternatives that also hold a ton of essential nutrients. The meat and dairy lobby got involved and they 'decided' not to change it. Twenty years later they finally did change it ... went with science instead of succumbing to lobby group threats.
Never underestimate the politics of food. At one time tobacco was promoted for its health benefits. There are so many dangerous foods if taken daily. Heart disease is one outcome.

Vegetarian
Vegetarian diets contain various levels of fruits, vegetables, grains, pulses, nuts and seeds. The inclusion of dairy and eggs depends on the type of diet you follow.

The most common types of vegetarians include:

  • Lacto-ovo vegetarians: Vegetarians who avoid all animal flesh, but do consume dairy and egg products.
  • Lacto vegetarians: Vegetarians who avoid animal flesh and eggs, but do consume dairy products.
  • Ovo vegetarians: Vegetarians who avoid all animal products except eggs.
Vegan
A vegan diet can be viewed as the strictest form of vegetarianism.

Veganism is currently defined by the Vegan Society as a way of living that attempts to exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty as much as possible.

This includes exploitation for food and any other purpose.

Therefore, a vegan diet not only excludes animal flesh, but also dairy, eggs and animal-derived ingredients. These include gelatin, honey, carmine, pepsin, shellac, albumin, whey, casein and some forms of vitamin D3.

The European farming lobby is pressuring the EU to ban certain words from vegetarian products (eg burger and milk). The official reason put forward is that it confuses customers. I can see the sense in this, I'm forever coming home from food shopping only to discover I've bought sirloin steak, halibut and dairy milk.
