Charlie Hebdo to attack Muslims again

Of course no one support it, but do you support offending Islam?

I support free speech as long as it is not libel, in which cased, there is legal recourse.
And there is a significant portion of Islam which does support such violence, so it is a valid question.

They did not remove it in Pakistan.
Blasphemy in Pakistan - Wikipedia
Between 1987 and 2017 at least 1,500 people were charged with blasphemy and at least 75 people involved in accusations of blasphemy were killed in Pakistan according to the Center for Social Justice.[6]

Many people accused of blasphemy have been murdered before their trials were over,[2][7] and prominent figures who opposed the blasphemy law have been assassinated.[1] Since 1990, 62 people have been murdered following blasphemy allegations.[8] According to one religious minority source, an accusation of blasphemy commonly exposes the accused, police, lawyers, and judges to harassment, threats, attacks and rioting.[9] Critics complain that Pakistan's blasphemy laws are "overwhelmingly being used to persecute religious minorities and settle personal vendettas,"[10] but calls for change in blasphemy laws have been strongly resisted by Islamic parties - most prominently the Barelvi school of Islam.[8]
These are the kinds of laws you support - right?
I do not support death penalty at all. I support an Islam that is mild and good toward others.

The definition of Islam
The root of the word Islam, silm, refers to "making peace, being in a mutually peaceful environment, greetings, rescue, safety, being secure, finding peace, reaching salvation and well being or being far from danger, attaining goodness, comfort and favor, keeping away from troubles and disasters, submitting the self and obeying, respect, being far from wrong." The "submitting the self and obeying" here means "submitting to justice and righteousness in order to reach peace and safety and being in a peaceful environment by one's free will." In fact, salaam and salaamat, mean "to reach salvation," and their rubai form (with four radical letters) aslama means "submitted, became Muslim, and made peace." "Islam" as either a noun or a verb with these meanings is mentioned in many verses in the Qur'an

One cannot support offending* Islam, only the people who adhere to those beliefs. And my support for offending anyone depends on which belief being espoused. Some are worthy of praise, some are worthy of derision, and some are worthy of condemnation.

That's 462 verses of violence, rape, and slavery. Did the person who came up with the 2% number include things like incest, homophobia, and misogyny?
Once I saw a debate between a Christian male professor and a female Koran specialist, they mentioned 2%; I don't know what they included

Why is it common sense to ignore 2% of what God wrote? Did He write it only to be ignored?
I did not say I ignore them, I just don't use them. I am not a Christian, and God gave also other Scriptures, which I prefer.

It's not about quantity, it's about quality.

My Master said it's enough if you remember 4 lines from the Bible "Hurt Never, Help Ever" + "Serve All, Love All". Enough homework for me.

That's why I love my Master, He makes at least that part easy. Why should I burden my mind with so many words?

Did He write it only to be ignored?
I am not so sure that it was God who wrote them in the first place, are you?
(And who is God anyway?)

It is no problem for Christians to follow their teaching and no problem for Muslims to follow their teaching.

But you did recognize a problem with blasphemy, especially when it concerns Islam.
And calling Jesus, a prophet of islam, a god, IS blasphemous in context of Islam.

It is not blasphemy for a Christian to follow their teaching, not is it blasphemy to be an muslim and follow Islam.
I have not said Islam is the only right way, you already know my view is not that narrow.

In Islam, it is blasphemous to deify prophets.
Jesus is an islamic prophet.
Saying Jesus is god is blasphemy in Islam.

Did I mention half my family is muslim?

I have not said such thing at all,

Sure you did. Not explicitly, but implicitly.
You have spend the entire thread complaining about non-muslims doing things considered blasphemous in Islam.

So either you are not telling the whole story here, aren't clear enough or you hold a double standard.

Be straightforward and clear. Must non-muslims comply to islamic blasphemy rules or not, in your opinion?

In my own research of Islam and speaking with my girlfriend and people in the mosque, I hold my u understanding as it is, but I see that your version can be right too

But there isn't a point in insulting religions through cartoons, it's just nonsense.
If people reject it then the magazine will find much more important subjects to talk about through cartons.
That is just your opinion. Other people hold different opinions.

I for one, think the subject of islamic terrorism is pretty important.
And neither you, nore I, nore any islamic mullah or terrorist, gets to decide what the folks over at Charlie Hebdo have to find important enough or not to make cartoons about.

In my opinion, yes we should all stop the blasphemous speech about any religion.
To say a muslim is taught that Jesus is a prophet and then say to a Christian, that it is good if they see Jesus as Gods son, is in my understanding not blasphemous, because it is different teaching and a muslim is ok to acknowledge Christians as follower of the Bible.
