Drugs are ridiculously priced all around.
These are just normal drugs that I have to take daily the rest of my life.
Cholesterol drug I was supposed to take 85.00 a month refused got a generic that works a little less well 10.00 per month.
Blood pressure drug I take went from 15.00 per month last year to 65.00 per month this year. Changed jobs different insurance this year. According to my insurance company the drug cost them 180.00 per month.

Gilead said research/development cost them 1 billion to make. At this price, they expect to get a return of 1.3billion. So 300 million profit.

If they didn't assume a profit, they never would have invested in its development.
