Well common sense seems to have evaporated and the first boat crammed with the usual suspects has been allowed to dock in Italy. The new government has pledged to revise the recent past denial of service. Italy has serious social problems,including unemployment and affordable housing. One viable solution would be a humane blockade. With people like Junkers, you can expect more to come stressing out the local economy.

It may be inevitable. America will no longer be "white" either. The typical family will be a mixture of ethnicities. This really is not a problem. America has been a mixture of ethnicities for most of its history. It was merely separated between blacks and whites. Whites were a mixture of European ethnicities and blacks were mostly a mixture of African ethnicities. Now it is getting to be that a mixture of color does not matter either. The old traditions will survive, at least the good ones will, and you will pick up some new ones. Even though you do not like it it is a win for your country.

Don't we need to look at why migrants are leaving their country of birth? Maybe it is because of poverty, famine, war. Maybe if the west spend aid monies sorting these countries out the migrants will dry up.
Instead of cutting foreign aid, it should be better targeted to ensure these people's countries are fit for habitation and the West isn't such an attraction.

The Slavic Nations are even more intransigent than us and reproach us Italians for being too weak on the matter
