"Man Unleashes Profanity-Filled Tirade Against Peaceful Satanists in MN Park"

Do we dare speculate the ****ing guy is a Christian? In any case, he does believe Satanists are against our armed services veterans because. . . . .?.

If he feels that way I do feel sorry for the marines because...you know

wait for it......

And why would you speculate the guy is a Christian???

In my very personal experience and coming from a Christian background American Christians are some of the most judgmental SOB's I've ever encountered. Depending on geography it could be even deadly...

But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Colossians 3:8

Tell that to the KKK then....

And that the fruits of the Spirit are...

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

This is not the Christianity I have experienced. I perhaps know one true Christian in my life right now who at least try to live by the quoted above.

Well, I think it is important to differentiate between professed Christians and those whose lives are truly transformed by Christ and living under His will as their Lord.

Now this I agree with.

I hold the same view regarding Muslims and Jews. I believe so many are Christian, Jewish, Muslim by culture and community but hardly live by the words of their faith.

What do you think Jesus' view is concerning the KKK?
Do you think that although those people claimed to be Christians, while at the same time they murdered and burned their crosses, Jesus considered them to be His followers?

I could also make claims about what a real Christian is. I don't think that you would like it. And yet they would be very reasonable claims.
You could make claims and I can make claims, but if they are nothing more than our opinions then I don't know how reasonable or valid they are. But if our claims are made in submission to the greater authority of Christ concerning what it means to be a Christian is, then there is validation.

I have no view other than what I assume how he would approach the group.

I don't know. Pope Urban II sanctioned the Crusades sending men who believed that by retaking the "holy Land" they'll be redeemed. Til this day they are still people who believe that fighting others who are non-christian is the work of God. There are still Christians who still believe that by judging and chastising others who they believe are acting sinful justifies ridicule because as many Christians have told me growing up, they must be Christ viceroys on earth and must identify and call out what they deem as sinful.

These are questions you need to ask Christians like the one in the subject......Then again this is just another No True Scotsman discussion.

That is my point. Claiming to be a Christian means being a Christian, as defined by Jesus Christ and His word. A vegetarian who claims to be a vegetarian, but eats meat is not a vegetarian.

But just as problematic is that the cop doesn't feel they should be there either. "Unfortunately, that's the way [indistinguished] and they can, and have, the right to be here."

.

No, generally, we're not. :D

In fact, my family has a lot of veterans and I considered serving as well. There are plenty of Satanists in the military, but a lot of them keep it low on the radar. My children have even attempted to enlist, though were DQ'd on medical reasons. :D

Though, credit to the cop -- he defended their right to be there and enforced the law even though he personally doesn't support them and voice that. (Which I feel is entirely his right as well.)

However, they looked like they were gathering peacefully and maybe it would have been more useful for him to meet them and figure out what they were about rather than immediately taking an adversarial tack. The religious (and a-religious beliefs) of Satanists are far different than a simple rejection or inversion of Christianity. Simply because you are a Christian doesn't mean you know a damn thing about a Satanist.

You may think so, but ultimately Jesus Christ has the final say on who is a Christian.

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:22-23
Where is this written? It certainly isn't in Matthew 7:22-23.

.
Here's what Jesus had to say about who were his disciples:

John 13:34-35 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
34 “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

BOY, OH BOY, OH BOY, IS THIS GUY MAD, and amusing.

"For a couple of years now, a church/state separation battle has been playing out in Belle Plaine, Minnesota between local officials and The Satanic Temple. In short, a Christian monument was allowed to go up at a public park while a Satanic display was rejected. The Satanists filed a lawsuit against the city in April.

This story doesn’t involve that lawsuit, but it occurs in Belle Plaine, where people are still in anger about the Satanists (or at least the people they perceive the Satanists to be).

This past Sunday, The Satanic Temple’s Minnesota chapter was holding an ice cream social at Union Square Park, about two minutes away from the site of the controversy. As they described it, the plan was to “have some sweet treats, meet friends old and new, maybe play some board games, or play some outdoor games.” Obviously very demonic stuff.

In any case, they were minding their own damn business. But within about 15 minutes of arriving, they noticed one man just staring at them from a nearby intersection. That man eventually walked into their area, spewed profanities, and said they were “not welcome here” because they were disrespecting veterans. He didn’t seem to care that one of the Satanists said he was a veteran.

...................................................VIDEO

… You guys come down to our ****ing park, and you put your ****ing Satan… Satan Bull-****ing-**** in our ****ing veteran park… You need to get the **** outta here!… I’ll turn you ****ing down! I’ll turn your ****ing life down!… You guys are in the wrong ****ing place!… I don’t want my kids over here looking at you raising your ****ing flags, wearing your ****ing Devil ****ing costumes…

That’s the sort of rant that belongs in a YouTube comment thread, in ALL CAPS, not at a local public park where the angry guy is the only one people need to worry about.

At least a cop was there and witnessed everything. He explained to the man that the Satanists had a right to be there… but It didn’t help. The ignorant man kept ranting. At the end of the video, he appears to walk away. But the Satanists say he only went back to his intersection where he was joined by even more people.

It wasn’t until the cops were called again that any action was taken. “Charges were pressed against the gentleman,” say the Satanists."

The cop has the right to feel about it however he chooses.

The irate man has the right to feel about it however he chooses, yet harassment at this level is unwarranted and illegal.

The rights of the perceived most despicable on earth are to be protected, because if the rights guaranteed them are denied, then my individual rights can be removed just as easily, and there are many who would like to do that.

Anton Le Vay satanists style satanists are harmless. They pose no threat to Christianity, they have no power over Christianity, and I have never been aware that they view themselves in conflict with us. Their satan is a comedic character.

I believe that there are others that are express enemies of Christianity, and humamity in general. Those are the ones that we are concerned about. The secular society calls them insane, we call them possessed by the incarnation of all evil.

I'm not a LaVey Satanist, I believe in a real Satan whom I admire. But, it certainly has nothing to do much with the narrative of The Bible. I'm OK with that, and also don't have any aversion to Christians -- though they might find some beef with me. Oh well, can't please everyone. Theistic Satanism is a personal path -- it's you and the man, you're the Priest and the layman. That's not for everyone, admittedly.

Satan is part of the Christian mythology.
So? The scriptures don't instruct Christians to go out and spew forth profanities at Satanists or even satan. As a matter of fact such behavior is portrayed in a very negative light...

Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. Jude 1:8-11
