Scientists are trying to open a portal to a parallel universe

I saw a documentary on this a few years back, apparently its "scientific". Thus why i placed it in the entertainment catagory.
Apparently this is easier than resolving known issues such as dark matter and dark energy. Or how to get rid of all the damn plastic.

I'm not directing this to you, David T. but only commenting on the concept of portals to other universes.

A 'Portal to another galaxy' makes sense but not 'Portal to another universe'. A portal to another galaxy would be a great accomplishment. A portal to another universe would be a paradox in terminology. Whatever the portal is to cannot be another universe, because the portal proves any place (wherever it is) is not another universe.

Unless the portal was temporary, and the means to open it could only be done once.

Thats why i put it in the entertainment section!!!! We can wait till the wormhole proposal but there are serious issues with that as well. It defies relativity although acceptable in terms of quantum mechanics. I am certain we can imagine it into existence, but mother nature is funny..

Like i have said this science fiction stuff as science is fun and entertaining. Invariably its not science actually..

Real science, Please fix all the potholes as a motorcyclist with some robotic pothole fixer.

After a little more search I believe this overstating the nature of the research. At best it is trying to detect the possibility of other universes.

That and hugging a hairpin corner at 60mph just to see gravel scattered across the pavement.

I just pinched a hole in the seat of my office chair even thinking about it!

That indeed is real spooky. Einstien said the that about non locality on quantim mechanics. Ha you got him beat.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Try thinking about this while staring down an infinity mirror to see if something moves in the distance.
