Barr proceedings started

So this report says if Barr does not show up in the next day or 2 for court Dems will start proceedings against him, I guess impeachment? I would feel satisfied with Mueller report if we could get rid of him even though nothing may or may not happen to Trump.

I know Republicans will say it will never happen because Republicans will vote it down.

BUT with Mueller claiming Barr misrepresented the report, Mueller is Republican , maybe we have a chance at it.That would mean something came out of this report yay!

The irony is that they actually are friends, but I gotta feeling that the "are" may have to be changed to "were".

Well my sister says it would not be impeachment but rather they could cite him with contempt of court . The article says proceedings so,I assume its impeachment. but I would take citing him for contempt of court too.

Do it, ffs do it already. Stop blabbing about how someone broke the law and start prosecuting.

If winning isn't everything why do they keep score

Excellent! They can start with Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama next, James Comey while they're at it.

Barr isn't going to be impeached. He didn't show up at the proceedings today for a reason and being he knows more about the law than most of his detractors, he also knows the law is on his side.
The witch hunters want to occupy his time with their garbage and Barr is intelligent enough to call it quits. Because as Graham observed, this whole Mueller investigation thing is over with!
Democrats don't like the outcome after they poured accolades on Mueller prior to its beginning. Now that he's not found any collusion nor evidence of any wrong doing on Trump's part those same Dem's are mad.

Trump won the office by a lawful vote. Now an inquiry proved there was no collusion or tampering. Trump wins twice. And the Dem's who banked literally on Hillary are stark raving mad.
Barr is making this body of fools look as bad as they act. Good for him.

Were not talking about Trump. Barr has a subpoena, its illegal for him not to show up to court, they can cite him for contempt of court.

I don't know what business Roseanne has getting involved in this.

Frankly, to refer to the issue of Russian interference in our electioneering process that Trump literally called for as supposedly being "funny" is so utterly pathetic, imo. I happen to very much appreciate our democratic process, and I don't think for one minute that calling this all as being "funny" is in any way appropriate.

Thank God there are reasonable people in all this. Oh look, they aren't Democrats. That explains the why of it.

No, today its voluntary for him to show up or not.

He showed up yesterday. And instead of Dems asking pertinent questions they wasted their time attacking Barr character. So today he told them to go stuff it.

I dare them to try and press a criminal charge on Barr.

Then why didn't the Dems ask a single question about Russian interference to Barr yesterday?

If its soooooo important. Why was more time not spent on it yesterday?

That's why it's funny. The Dems showed their true intent yesterday. And it has nothing to do with Russian interference.

I think your talking about the spin coming from the media here. It was spun from when Trump mentioned that the Russians or anyone should hack the information wiped from Clinton's server — which would then include the gap between intention and action being the ironic hilarity Trump was using while simultaneously mocking the democrats with their actual offense of covering up their Russian collusion.

Yes with all the consequences that could follow. From what I read, he can indeed be impeached. If he keeps thumbing his nose at the House and continues to tell them to get lost, the steps would be to cite him for contempt and subject him to a large fine and possibly a jail sentence. Then presumably impeach him as well.
LOCK HIM UP.

And continue working through all of the swamp creatures one by one. Despicable donald started it. The House should finish it and him. Despicable donald started the war against Democracy. The House needs to step up and stop him.

While a contempt vote would make a strong statement, it is unlikely to force the Justice Department to hand over the report. A vote of the full House on contempt would send a criminal referral to the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia — a Justice Department official who is likely to defend the administration’s interests. But even if the U.S. attorney declines to prosecute, Democrats could pursue other avenues in court.
Lawmakers to see empty chair, not AG Barr, at House hearing

I suppose that is why we have three branches of government to decide when the other two can't see eye to eye.

However, remember the courts have been stacked to the Republican side. I suppose the judicial branch is supposed to be unbiased but it doesn't feel that way.

Thanks for the information. Mueller is Republican so I'm hoping some Republicans might be on our side. I maybe wrong but I'm hoping.
