I have had people in stitches laughing at my inability to get French correct.
One that comes to mind was in a supermarket and I wanted to pay and get some "Cash back" - at the time that was a non-starter in France but I didn't know.
So, I started with "L'argent returnee" - thinking give me money back couldn't be a million miles out.
I think they thought I was demanding money, trying to rob the till. Anyway, in the nick of time an ex-pat spotted me and pointed me at a cash machine.

It still is pretty much no, no here. I heard some of the larger supermarkets trialed the idea last summer, not seen it spreading though so im assuming it didnt catch on.

I joined RF from topix after they banned us pesky non americans. Topix was essentially a food fight and i expected similar here. I was soon educated.
I now like to learn about different religions. I like some
debates when they touch on my own knowledge. And I fight for my corner.

Not really. There are so many good ones, GnR, Nivana, Sabbath, AC/DC, AtoZ, Deep Purple, Korn, 1000ft crutch
The early uk rock bands emulated the american blues artists, modified and improved to Brit tastes. The mix worked
All great bands. I particularly like the Who, my dad used to play them all the time, its what i was brought up with.
