The most all inclusive narrative of the resurrection ever:

1. Eyewitnesses to events, if they're honest, will emphasize certain details, differing from other writers/presenters
2. I've yet to see a post-resurrection "contradiction" that lacked a simple explanation/apologetic
You do realize that none of the gospels were eyewitness accounts, don't you? And yes, you can explain away any contradiction by claiming that the Bible is imperfect. Isn't that a bit of a Catch-22?

If the writers of the gospels wanted to get the story from a for certain eyewitness, they would have asked Mary what had happened. If they did, why would she have told each of them different stories? To me it sounds to much like traditions that were passed down and then written into the gospels.

Yep, the stories have the mark of lore, not witnesses.

Reinterpreting the Bible does not make the contradiction go away. "Apologetics" is simply a four syllable word that means "lying for Jesus".

And cognitive dissonance is a very powerful force on the human psyche.

Does not make which contradiction go away? Again, the last billion people "into" the Bible didn't see the contradictions you see, while you are willfully ignorant of the historical and language issues underlying most supposed contradictions.

That is because they suffer from cognitive dissonance. Re-read the OP.

One can't logically have it both ways. The obvious self contradictions of the multiple resurrection accounts are laughable if the Bible is inerrant.

I once submitted a harmony I made of the four accounts to a site offering a cash reward--without response, since they knew I nailed it. I don't have the file handy, but perhaps you can limit yourself to one or two supposed contradictions to discuss--but only if you are open-minded.

I don't suffer from cognitive dissonance, and it would require a massive amount of such to "overcome" the positive effect of reading the Bible as thoroughly, and with care, as I have. The Bible is my daily meditation. Give an example of the "obvious" problems that bother you or kindly be quiet!

Empty boasts are worthless. They probably ignored you because your response was nonsensical. Of course I don't tend to trust sites that offer such cash rewards. For example Kent Hovind has made a similar one, but he has to openly lie to claim no one has met his request.

The countless contradictions in the Bible make your sort of belief a joke and your inability to deal with them only demonstrates that you are the one that does not have an open mind.

Actually you do suffer rather severely from that problem That can be seen in your debates about the biblical myths. You have not even been able to deal with the contradictions in the OP, but here is another set for you:

I'm again inviting you to pick one or two contradictions from somewhere in the Bible to debate them. No cash is needed for me, just your heartfelt thanks.

There is no point. Bible literalists simply won't face facts. Did you watch the video I provided for you? It is hilarious, but also every verse they use is listed. Just pause and see if they are correct or not.

When you have to go out of your way to explain how to apparent contradictions are not contradictions you have already lost. Do you think that you can avoid doing that? If you promise to avoid that sort of dishonesty I will take you up on your offer.

And then perhaps we can go over how the Tyre prophesy fails. That one is a stinker for Bible believers since you have to debase prophesy to the point of being worthless to claim that it was fulfilled. A wise Christian simply admits that it is a failed prophesy and leaves it at that.

I'd be interested in the explanation of the apparent contradictions in the post resurrection story.

I need to know what this means: "When you have to go out of your way to explain how to apparent contradictions are not contradictions you have already lost. Do you think that you can avoid doing that?" before I can promise it. Please explain, then we can discuss one or two of the multiple Bible prophecies concerning Tyre.

Tyre was supposed to be destroyed never to be found again according to the Ezekiel 26. Here it is:

And going out of your way should be self explanatory. If you have to make weak excuses for contradictions in the Bible then you are going out of your way. One poster brought up the case where Jehoiachin took over in Jerusalem at 8 years and eighteen years and in both cases only ruled 3 months in both cases. You might check out 2 Chronicles 36:9 and 2 Kings 24:8. I will tell you when you lost and why.

"I will tell you when you lost" does not at all sound like you are open-minded, which I've requested from you several times regarding discussing prophecy "contradictions".

That is because I am dealing with close minded people. And I have given you contradictions in the Bible.

Can you be honest? The Tyre prophecy tests the honesty of Christians and far too many fail.
