Is this the same guy who wont come to the uk because he's afraid of protests?
Thinking about this....I wonder if it's fear or just good judgment.
Visiting a country with nasty protests wouldn't serve any useful
purpose for him.
It's like a flame war. Ever have someone try to provoke you with
insults, & then cry "Coward!" if you refuse to respond?
I have. The best way to end one is to ignore one.
Getting no reaction, the wind in their sails dies.

So he is either afraid of protesters or afraid of his own ego

Had I died there, you wouldn't have to endure my posts either.
But neither of us thought that cause deathworthy.
Go Dodgers!

What an odd double standard you guys have....
Trump is criticized cuz he didn't go to Viet Nam.
Hillary didn't serve either, but that's OK. And she'd
have risked little, being guaranteed to be a REMF.
What double standard, man?

One of those two people makes a point of acting macho and promissing the moon in chains.

The other is Hillary.

Hillary is a hawk who never served in the military.
But she isn't called a "chickenhawk".
This is a double standard, ie, applying the definition to one, but not the other.

Maybe she is a hawk as you understand the term.

Myself, I don't remember she going anywhere near the extremes of caricature that Trump routinely goes to in order to appear "strong".

So there is no double standard, at least from me.

Even the New York Times, which supported her,
agrees that she's a hawk.
How Hillary Clinton Became a Hawk
Throughout her career she has displayed instincts
on foreign policy that are more aggressive than
those of President Obama — and most Democrats.
I agree with Bernie Sanders on her record....
Bernie Sanders' focus on Clinton's Iraq War vote isn't harping - it's necessary | Trevor Timm

So what?

Trump postures as a hawk - and acts as a chicken - even by the admitedly unbalanced parameters that one expects of the GOP. He should expect to be judged accordingly.

Whether Hillary is unusually aggressive by Democratic standards is entirely besides the point.

You still have no point to show.

Not double standards at all. I am sure Hillary would not hesitate to enter a war zone. and has done so in other roles. but not under fire.
But why pick Hillary. she is not president, nor boastful of her bravery.
Some other Presidents have been there and done that.
Trump is just frit.

Oh, the faithful.....how different your perspective is.
On her boasting....

Perhaps she is remembering a doctored version of her trip....

What I find incredible is that people criticize Trump not for being hawkish,
but instead for being hypocritical about it. Tis as though waging wasteful
wars matters less than how noble the leader appears while doing it.
