WWMRD?
Surely a president of all people can be held to higher standards? And with this, people need to stay getting amazed and talking about it, because we shouldn't let this become normal.

Maybe the lack of the eloquence and honeyed words of a professional politician leaning against a whited sepulchre is some of Trumps appeal.

WWMRD?
Appeal to who? Fools who think a basic lack of human decency somehow represents refreshing honesty? You've got to be kidding us.
Is human decency necessary or always logical? In the case of mass immigration from s******* countries, the example of Germany is proof that it is not.
By the way, who is "us"?

Sure well it’s how people use the term I’m concerned with. As mentioned context matters.

Edit: BTW what trump said wasn’t particularly racist but does show his true colors as usual with his bigotry xenophobia and racist attitudes towards many peoples.

Well for face value that may be true but given his history with POC (People of Color), as well as giving the entire phrase in context relating to said his with POC naturally we can infer racist undertones. According to Vox:

"Trump is not just saying that Haiti and African countries are ****holes. He’s indicating that the (predominantly black) people from these countries are themselves bad — to the point that the US should not accept them as immigrants. (Though Trump has now denied making the comments on Haiti, but he has not denied disparaging African nations).

Then consider Trump’s point of comparison. After he raised his question, Trump reportedly suggested that America should take more people from “countries like Norway.” This is his remark about African countries and Haiti in reverse, explicitly singling out predominantly white nations as favorable......

If you continue to read the article

There’s also the broader context of what Trump has said and done. This is a man who launched his political career by questioning whether the first black president of the US is truly American, and reportedly has continued doing so in private.

He launched his presidential campaign by suggesting that Mexican immigrants are “rapists” who are “bringing crime” and “bringing drugs” to the US. He called for banning all Muslims from entering the US. He said that a judge should recuse himself from a Trump University case solely because the judge was of Mexican descent — which House Speaker Paul Ryan called “the textbook definition of a racist comment.”

Since becoming president, this kind of behavior has continued. Trump stereotyped a black reporter in February 2017, telling April Ryan that she should set up a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus for him even as she insisted that she’s “just a reporter.”

After white supremacists violently protested in Charlottesville, Virginia, last year, Trump repeatedly said that “both sides” were to blame for the violence, drawing a moral equivalence between white supremacists and anti-racism protesters — and said that there were “some very fine people” among the white supremacists. And over the past year, Trump has repeatedly attacked NFL players who protested against systemic racism."

Haha! Those weren't real hillbillies and it would be no different than a show called "The New York N*****s"

I don't see why it's so hard to answer my question. How does the term hillybilly relate to apologize pejorative towards white people? Can anyone here outside the urban dictionary (which did not indicate the word being a pejorative to whites) produce evidence that it was derogatory towards whites?

There are many countries that are s********, it's not Trumps fault many of them have blacks and Latinos in them. A s******* is a s******* regardless of the color of the peoples skin.

As mentioned earlier by me given trumps history towards people of color (See housing discrimination settlement), and other remarks he has made it is not the country itself he is targeting.

The United States and various states from within is a sh*t hole. Texas along with the Bible belts are sh*t holes. They made laws were it's against the law to get a fish drunk. They have laws still on the books about inter-racial marriage. They (the people) still think hippie white dude Jesus will return every year with bogus predictions. They (Bible belt thumpers) are dregs of society who are uneducated, uncivilized, and believe guns are the end all be all.

Nothing is more dangerous than a fool who thinks a children's book is a physics manual.

White trash - Wikipedia
In common usage, "white trash" overlaps in meaning with "cracker" (regarding Georgia and Florida), "hillbilly" (regarding Appalachia), "Okie" (regarding Oklahoma origins), and "redneck" (regarding rural origins).[11]

You're deflecting. I am specifically talking about the word hillbilly. Again it's targeting people of a specific region not an ethnic demographic (see your answer about hillbilly above).

Funny, isn't it?
I grew up using the word to describe trashy rural people, whether or not they lived in hills (much less any particular hills). Hillbillies weren't even necessarily white, although there were plenty of other epithets for the black rural trash.

Hillbilly was mainly to distinguish between the nasty country folks and the upright solid country folks.
That's just how the word was used around me.

Growing up I always thought Hillbillies were country folk as opposed to me being from the city they'd refer to me as city folk. I never knew it was actually a derogatory reference to the people who were Appalachian.

I can help here....
"Hillbillly" is friendly, neutral, or derogatory depending upon intent, context, & just who is wielding the term against whom.
I'm sure you already know that words with racial connotations have complexities.
This particular word applies only to white folk, implying poverty, ignorance, & appalachian origins.
So there's no getting around racism when its used an epithet by someone non-melanin-challenged.

But like the term, "redneck", one should be careful.
These pejoratives might not seem all that offensive to us, but there are circumstances where people might take the offense to heart.
So if I call someone "hillbilly", "redneck", or "cracker", it's with a smile & hand extended in friendship.
Woe unto those who do it otherwise.

Many islamic countries aren't ****-holes. Can we expect Trump to focus on those and give them the boost?

Would Trump have created the Obama birther nonsense if Obama were white?

Norwegians aren't impressed with Trump's offer...various tweets include:-

"Dunno why Trump wants more Norwegians. As a whole we're not exactly fans of his, and socialism doesn't seem like his thing. I mean. Universal healthcare and all that jazz. #norway #trump #****hole"

"Of course people from #Norway would love to move to a country where people are far more likely to be shot, live in poverty, get no healthcare because they’re poor, get no paid parental leave or subsidized daycare and see fewer women in political power. #****hole"

“Dear Mr President, I am glad you enjoyed meeting my prime minister, but I am quite happy where I am and would not even dream of settling down in the US during your s***hole, racist and misogynist regime.”

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
I don't think that I could use the term that Trump used if I wanted to here. The bots would rightfully censor it.

What amazes me is that he has to ask why we cannot get more people from the richest countries in Europe to come here and do our menial work.

Sorry, no link. I am on a cheap tablet right now.
Why can't we get more white Norwegians to abandon their universal healthcare and high standard of living to come wait tables and pick our crops for minimum wage?? I bet it's Obama's fault!

Ungrateful Norwegians! After he sold them brand new F-52s!

Well I don't use those terms in my vocabulary save the hillbilly one. When I was a kid I used to associate young white kids with overalls as hillbillies cause I thought that was a typical dress.
