Astrology? No.

The influence on the stars and planets on human behavior? Well, that is self-evident. :)

It's interesting. There are some strange coincidences in astrology done the right way. I don't the the sun sign only sort of system is accurate though. I'm an Aries but I act more like a Scorpio. Just knowing my sun sign it's going to tell you much about my personality save for my thought process and emotional state.

I don't believe in astrology.
I know that some of my religion believe in it, but it's one of those things where I really don't see why it should work the way it's claimed to work (especially with all the differences between cultures, and with calender reforms, discovery of other planets etc.) and I don't really feel like taking a leap of faith in regards to this matter.

If I would believe in it against better knowledge, then that would be against my religion. If I believe in it because I found reasons to do so that convinced me, then it wouldn't be against my religion.
If I believe in it to try it out and check whether it works when I believe in it, but then drop it when/if I notice that it doesn't work, then that's not against my religion either.

I guess not all here got the joke...

Yes and no.

Astrology has two distinctive usages that I appreciate: symbolic and divinatory.
Astrology provides an incredibly rich symbolic vocabulary that can be put to all sorts of uses. As a system of divination, I marvel at its complexity and the level of study and skill needed to actually use it properly. Either way, it is not something I utilize very often.

Do I believe in astrology in the sense that most people mean when they ask that question? No, but when outsiders to the arts ask questions about divinatory systems in general, well... let's just say that mainstream culture has an awful lot of misconceptions about what divination is, what it is for, and how it is used.

Astrology is one of the oldest gypsy scams still alive today.

The Romani people did not invent astrology. The oldest astrological systems vastly predate them, and it it is highly unlikely it was conceived as a scam (there is no evidence of this at any rate). Just so you know.
