Spirits vs Gods

Are spirits and gods to you interchangable in meaning?

Gods could mean anamorphic deities or just entities. Neither needs to be sources of worship.

Spirits could mean the actual force or breathe of life (etc) rather than actual individuals living on earth after death.

Hi Carlita,
Thank you for asking such an interesting question.
In our system (Luciferianism) spirit is separate from a deity in that the only deity that we will ever come to know is our higher Self which some refer to as apotheosis, self-deification, autotheism, etc.
Spirit on the other hand is in closer relation to Greek philosophy (Daimon = spirit energy), and Eastern religions where there is a creative animating force throughout the objective universe.

No they are not to me.

I define a god or goddess as a being that is above all others.

I define spirits as a being that is composed of energy and spirit.

How about.....
Spirit is the life force having a personality....a character.
a god has ability greater than others around him.

I believe there is only one true God. (John 17:3) All other spirits are creations of Jehovah. The Bible reveals some of these spirit sons have rebelled against God while many more serve God faithfully. (Daniel 7:9,10, Revelation 12:7-9)

A personality like person?

Is god an entity? Another type of spirit? What is he composed of, I guess, that would make god exist beyond a description?

Is god an entity? A "someone" that exist beyond the bible's definition of him?

Is a spirit a person? Someone or thing of human attributes like that of Saddom and Gommorah, or?

Is this being anamorphic ("physically" existing a part frok definition?" What is the definition of being?

I know I have two def. of spirit: the breathe of life which is separate than spirit as a person living beyons death.

As energy, would that be the "breathe" of life or is it defined differently?

No, The Gods are the Gods, the spirits are the spirits. Spirits include our ancestors, and other beings that inhabit this world, such as land, water and house spirits but they are not the Gods. The Gods are far older, wiser and more powerful. To the best of my knowledge no ancestor or other spirit has ever been deified or considered a deity.

In this case a deity is not a being but a way to describe our higher self as an enlightened Buddhist would be a Buddha?

No, they are two separate things in my religion. One is a divine being and the other the "living soul" of a person or animal who has reached the Afterlife.

I believe how you define spirit one hundred percent. Unless Im corrected, Santeros venerate (worship?) ancestors called Egun. They do so before worshiping the Orisha (spirits of Ashe of the water, land, etc). Through them, they worship God the Creator. A very deistic faith.

Are gods beings? If so, that would make more sense of the being/personlike to be "older". If they arent diefied spirits, what are they?

A being like a person? Someone? How would you describe being? Always confused of what being is, how does one say, made out of.
