Are believers Worshiping Satan in Gods disguise?

Religion has done much more harm to humanity than good. Had there been no religion life, culture and society would have progressed much better. Religion is definitely crippling thoughts and holding back people from making ethical judgment, for eg, prohibiting gay rights, sticking to halal butchering and so on. I don’t believe in the various stories associated with the origins of religion. If god exists and if he wishes that everyone should follow a particular religion, he could do that instantly so that we all would have an inherent religious knowledge and there won’t be any need of any external books and we would all be followers of the “true religion”.

from Moses to Jesus to Muhammad - > why did god sent a prophet, created a holy book and a religion and later sent another prophet who made another religion to follow , then sent another prophet who in turn created another religion and so on – so people would eventually start fighting over this in the name of God. This is not reasonable for me.

For this reason, what if it is the converse that is true? What if these religions are the brain child of ibilis or Satan? What if it is the Satan that needs those holy books for us to follow? What if we are actually worshiping Satan in Gods disguise? What if following these religions takes us far away from true god?

What if on the final judgment day God asks you – I never created those religion or holy books – why did you (followers) succumb to ibilis/satan?

Another option is that a God-approved form of worship is like a diamond. The world is a bucket, with the diamond in it. The Devil filled the bucket with ice. All the pretty gemstones look much the same till you apply heat.

And yet a third option is that G-d only created one Holy Book and then others liked the idea and took it for themselves. Kind of like when Hello Kitty comes out and a month later there are 14 different knock-offs.

Agreed.

If god exists and if he wishes that everyone should follow a particular religion, he could do that instantly so that we all would have an inherent religious knowledge and there won’t be any need of any external books and we would all be followers of the “true religion”.

Agreed.

Most likely, someone did not like religious belief(s) X at whatever point in history, broke away from that group and started a new religion or denomination. That has nothing to do with God. That is human nature.

For this reason, what if it is the converse that is true? What if these religions are the brain child of ibilis or Satan? What if it is the Satan that needs those holy books for us to follow? Who is this Satan you speak? Are you referring to the mythology behind some supposed fallen angel that works against God? You said above that God could make everyone follow one religion, if that is what He wanted. Since God is the creator of all and has absolute power (or so we assume), that means that Satan, if he even exists in any form, would be subject to God's authority. Satan would first have to have God's permission before he did anything. His orders come from "The Boss."

Satan, as a being created by God, could be uncreated by God, if He so chose. How do you rebel against someone that could simply blink and you cease to exist? Christianity took the Jewish concept of Ha-satan, expanded on it, blew it out of proportion, and then added some mysticism to it with fictional works such as Dante's Inferno and Paradise Lost.

Are you aware that many "Satanists" don't actually believe in or worship an evil, dark lord? They simply mock Christianity and go out of their way to be anti-Christian as a political statement.

Why not? Both are ubiquitous despite being relevant to only a small segment of the population. And both make great party favors!

The problem is with humanity, not religion. You can in no way tell, wether humanity would be better off without religion. How is atheism supporting ethical judgement? Why did some atheistic societies end up worse, than religious ones have ever been?

If god exists and if he wishes that everyone should follow a particular religion, he could do that instantly so that we all would have an inherent religious knowledge and there won’t be any need of any external books and we would all be followers of the “true religion”.

God wants us to have free will. He wants us to choose him. Because true love can only exist with free will. If God made us robots, who can't but love him, that would be rape, not love.

from Moses to Jesus to Muhammad - > why did god sent a prophet, created a holy book and a religion and later sent another prophet who made another religion to follow , then sent another prophet who in turn created another religion and so on – so people would eventually start fighting over this in the name of God. Because different times require different medicins. When society changes, it requires a change of laws. When society changes, the illness changes, so the medicin must also change.

For this reason, what if it is the converse that is true? What if these religions are the brain child of ibilis or Satan? What if it is the Satan that needs those holy books for us to follow? Religions verily are Satan in God's disguise. The true message always gets distorted. But if there was no true message, how can we know God?

I would say "What else did I have? I could not possibly know you. I tried to follow you, and there was no other way for be to do that, but holy books of satan". Let's suppose, Satan has written the Bible. So, when we follow all the good things in the Bible, we are following Satan. Is that not a contradiction, that Satan has written down good stuff in his books? What's wrong with following Satan, if he tells us good stuff? If Satan sent Jesus, that would mean, that Love, Charity, Truth is a bad thing. I can't think that.

Peace be upon you.
Religion has done much more harm to humanity than good.
Peace be on you.
You could say, Abuse-of-religion.
The religion in its pure form just ask about morality and justice and rights.
As time passes, religion like other aspects, gets corruption by the very hands of corrupts clergies and followers.

Had there been no religion life, culture and society would have progressed much better.
.....you mean just as in religion-less soviet era? / !

Religion is definitely crippling thoughts and holding back people from making ethical judgment, for eg, prohibiting gay rights, sticking to halal butchering and so on.
Religion comes from the Maker. If He made hundreds of foods and prohibited few for the good of people, it is not harmful. As Ahmadiyya Muslim, one believe that issue of rising Gays is directly related to weakening of family unit and free mingling of male and females as soon as their hormones start as adolescents..... They should be dealt with very kindness and bring back to major genders.

I don’t believe in the various stories associated with the origins of religion. If god exists and if he wishes that everyone should follow a particular religion, he could do that instantly so that we all would have an inherent religious knowledge and there won’t be any need of any external books and we would all be followers of the “true religion”.
Idea of God is not human-made since the earliest people [e.g. Aborigines Australia] who could not meet each other, each has faith of deity. Obviously God revealed to them.

Idea of God is embedded in all of us.
Understanding of many doing good and not doing bad is in all of us.
Religion shows paths and makes things clear.

from Moses to Jesus to Muhammad - > why did god sent a prophet, created a holy book and a religion and later sent another prophet who made another religion to follow , then sent another prophet who in turn created another religion and so on – so people would eventually start fighting over this in the name of God. This is not reasonable for me.
Prophet is a an able-body like a scientist, who has special aptitude for the job.
Besides, Prophets' earlier lives are clean as glass. They never lie in world why would they start lying for God?

For this reason, what if it is the converse that is true? What if these religions are the brain child of ibilis or Satan? What if it is the Satan that needs those holy books for us to follow? What if we are actually worshiping Satan in Gods disguise? What if following these religions takes us far away from true god?
Satan never ask to do good.
So you fear is not right.

What if on the final judgment day God asks you – I never created those religion or holy books – why did you (followers) succumb to ibilis/satan?
If you said all above, how can you reach this possible conclusion because these are Prophets / Messengers who tell about Hereafter?

God will ask other way round.

Good wishes.

In my beliefs, it makes sense, because I think, God is just an alien beeing trying to take over earth. Clearly it would be usefull to his goals to start religious wars to separate and weaken mankind.

I agree with this. all religions are man-made. so is/Satan or gins or ibils or whatever. the post was intended for those who believe that there is a god part in the formation of religion.

Good morale and ethical society prohibits these. Thinking religion can prohibit these is wrong. It is only through proper education and good morale one can eliminate these from society. religion is the Devil.

so why still keep the medicines 2000 years or 1400 years or ??? years old. we have progressed much far. scientifically, morally, intellectually etc, etc.
Religions verily are Satan in God's disguise. The true message always gets distorted. But if there was no true message, how can we know God?

The true message??? at the best it is our morale, or ethics or sense of doing good. it is based on these our societies progressed. not religion - it can only hold back over time. One can never know god through religion. teach a kid that god is a yellow coloured wall at the corner - knee in front of it everyday and pray in front of it and i tell you, over time the kids god will be the wall. it is very similar to the god of your religion.

There were many people burned at stake alive just because they supported heliocentric theory. Many people were tortured for finding out various scientific aspects that went against the bible. you call this book god sent.

Prove it.
And no count the hits and ignore the misses fallacies.

Had there been no religion life, culture and society would have progressed much better.
This is nothing more than a bold empty claim based upon your unproven premise.

Religion is definitely crippling thoughts and holding back people from making ethical judgment, for eg, prohibiting gay rights, sticking to halal butchering and so on. I don’t believe in the various stories associated with the origins of religion. Yes, if an omni being existed they sure could.
Yet to claim they being able to they HAVE to is not an argument, it is an opinion.

from Moses to Jesus to Muhammad - > why did god sent a prophet, created a holy book and a religion and later sent another prophet who made another religion to follow , then sent another prophet who in turn created another religion and so on – so people would eventually start fighting over this in the name of God. Are you continuing with the "he can so he has to" fallacy?

For this reason, what if it is the converse that is true? What if these religions are the brain child of ibilis or Satan? What if it is the Satan that needs those holy books for us to follow? What if we are actually worshiping Satan in Gods disguise? What if following these religions takes us far away from true god?
Interesting idea.
I have one for you:
What if The Satan is not an actual being but instead is the "badness" in each person?

What if on the final judgment day God asks you – I never created those religion or holy books – why did you (followers) succumb to ibilis/satan?
I would then have proof that god is not all knowing.

Source please for the alleged atheist societies that were worse than religious societies have been.

The best lies are the ones hidden in truth.
Are you claiming that The Satan is incapable of telling truth?
That The Satan cannot lie by telling the truth?
Humans do both all the time.
