Is Jesus God?

The Jews knew of trinities, but their God was not one. There are a few so-called Trinity proof texts in the Christian Greek Scriptures, but they can all be reasoned away or shown to be spurious. Don't tell a Trinitarian that. It will lead to a endless cycle of debate, with no satisfaction at the end of the day. The real fact is that the Bible foretold a corruption of Christian thought, and the formation of the Trinity that somehow blended the Father, the Son and the holy spirit did not fully develop until the 4th century.

So you do think your right ?.

Yes. that is an accurate statement. I could back it up with historical quotes or deal with the so-called proof texts. The historical quotes I might still do as it is in harmony of the reason why this thread was started. The discussion of the so-called proof texts, we have already debated to death in other threads and still are doing so.

Yes of course you think your right, that is what you have been conditioned by your church, but if you were in another church you would have the same zeal, and also believing your right.

We are children of the divine, and the inheritors of the divine. I think Jesus was well aware of this and tried to awaken it in others.

For the most part, the debates have not been about the sincerity of the "Jesus is God" crowd.

Yes that's how I feel, but sadly most just went to sleep, zzzzzzz.
They could not even stay awake with him for just one night, so it was later said. But we are contrary creatures; perfect and flawed all at once. That is also our inheritance. He clearly loved us just the same for it, and I try to follow suit.

Yes even if he didn't love us, so what, its what we think of ourselves that's more important.

In islam Isa/Jesus peace be upon him was a servant of Allah and a prophet.

In christianity the views about Jesus is divided. Some say Two Nature, others say he was Angel Michael, then there are trinitarians. In the past there were jewish christian sects who believed Jesus is prophet and messiah.
So christians are divided about Isa/Jesus pbuh.

What I see is Jesus not saying he was God, but he was one with God, or the father. He said he can do nothing without the father, so all that Jesus did, was not of his doing but the father.

Now I see this with us also, we when we are one with the father, we are declaring God within, we are not God as the carnal mind even though we are, its the carnal mind that separates us, which is delusional.

When we are mature in Spirit, we live, yet we don't live, for now we live in Christ, we are now declaring the Christ within, the same as Jesus declaring the Father within.

He is one with God means their message is one.
Allah sent Jesus pbuh with a message, so jesus pbuh cannot deviate from that message.

Allah and the prophets are one in message.

It reminds me about quran verse: whoever obeys the messenger has indeed obeyed Allah.

Now does this mean the messenger is Allah? Ofcourse not.
It means Allah and the prophet Muhammad pbuh are one in message: La ilaha ill Allah, there is no god but Allah.
And this was the message of Jesus pbuh too: Hear o Israel, the Lord our God is One God.

No. I don't feel that is true whatsoever.

Well, it's all made up. But I'm interested in the rationale.
Then you're not listening; I've posted one list of a few contradictions in John, there are loads more.
Same applies with Paul contradicting Christ, and there are loads more.
What is irrational, is that though there are all these contradictions; no one is checking if the information used to make the ideology, is right in the first place.

Who cares, I say what I want to, do we all need to be so clinical, just to please each other ?.

There is a reason why can sometimes come across as 'clinical.' My father's family is full of people who are sarcastic to the point of unfeeling insolence. I do try hard to not to get flippant, and sometimes when I'm hasty I do say or type things that break down any possible common ground.

Yes I think so, but most would see that as being blaspheming, to be divine like Jesus, they miss out on their inherit of realizing they are also the Christ Consciousness, as Jesus became also.

St Athanasius (who attended the Council of Nicea and helped create some of the most foundational theologies of the church as well as a creed spoken by many catholic and orthodox churches to this day) wrote of Jesus that: "He, indeed, assumed humanity that we might become God. He manifested himself by means of a body in order that we might perceive the mind of the unseen Father; he endured shame from men that we might inherit immortality. "

Yes I feel that we also have manifested as a body, and we also need to become the Christ, the Christ isn't Jesus' name, its his Christ Consciousness, as those who don't see the inner Christ are just self conscious, as the mind body organism.
